Having (Home made by a friend) Lemon Meringue Pie for the first time.

Made with our home grown lemons.

Wow, amazing by itself. Complimented the coffee ice cream I just made at the weekend very well indeed.

10/10 from both of us for both individually and together.

Went to the supermarket, got to the checkout, scanned my stuff, went to pay, and realised I'd left my wallet at home.

The thing that makes me smile? Being able to pay using my phone. It's something I almost never do, and I'm glad that I was able to remember it in my state of mild panic.

Everyone where I go, I try paying with my kids, but people are pretty reluctant to take Kids as payment for stuff these days :)

I used to threaten to list my kids on trademe $1 reserve when they were being difficult, but they wised up and said there are laws against that stuff!

The joy in the voice of my mechanic when he called me this morning to let me know my car will be ready to pick up later today...and that it's going to be more expensive than expected because I have a double flange-twanger instead of the more standard single flange-twanger.

Oh, it warms the heart to hear someone in lockdown who is genuinely happy.

Buying a length of thick round foam pipe insulation I asked Mr E to attach to the garage wall where the door opens to avoid dents. Job done. Back from shopping I open the door to get out and there’s a loud metallic bang. Upon inspection, the car door hit the precise, exact spot on the strip's front edge where he had attached the foam with a large flat head nail proudly sticking out.

Elon Musk euphemistically refers to any explosion as a “RUD” – that’s “Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly”.

(Made me smile)
