gundar: Burn After Reading 2008
I've seen this before but watched again this weekend with other friends. It's a great Coen brothers flick. In fact, I'm sure I picked up several things this time around I may have missed before. Great cast, great acting, good, well woven story. A good laugh, too. 8/10.
Handsome Dan Has Spoken.
Handsome Dan needs to stop adding three dots to every sentence...
Handsome Dan does not currently have a side hustle as the mascot for Yale

I've been meaning to see this for years.
May have to rent on iTunes this week...

Aside from True Grit and No Country for Old Men, and O' Brother, I really can't get into the Coens. Burn After Reading was lost on me.

The viewing of the film is definitely helped if you've seen the latest episode of Agents of SHIELD, putting a lot of the film's plot into a wider context. I guess it wouldn't hurt the film, but you probably get more out of it if you're all caught up with the TV show. That was probably the most satisfying thing for me - I can't think of another film or TV series that has taken full advantage of the potential for cross-overs. Back in the day when Buffy and Angel were airing one after the other, there was the thrill of seeing one set of characters interacting with the others, but this goes a step further. It's a geek/nerd dream, breaking down the walls between stories and enriching the storytelling universe.
