That doesn't get a 568gm drone under 500gms which is the legal limit to take a drone into Türkiye without registration.

Weigh it without a battery and/or blades and/or some parts like covers or body shell? Or with a small battery weighing 68gm less than the standard battery? Or tiny thin blades?

Plastic is about .5g/cc (nylon), so removing about 136cc of plastic will get it under weight. Can you drill lightening holes in some parts?

As per E=mc^2, you can save up to a microgram by weighing it with a flat battery... .

Start it up when they weigh it?

I've heard that in many jurisdictions adding a US$100 bill to the scales can reduce the weight of most items.

Are you suggesting I either bribe a customs offical or drill holes in a $1000 drone? That’s delusional.

Cryptic payee names on my credit card statement/transaction list.

I bought something from the Nike shop on Lambton Quay on Monday, it shows up in the app as Retail Prodigy Ops.

(Particularly annoying because it's a joint account used liberally by Mrs. Floyd, makes it difficult to ensure all transactions are kosher.)

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

The further down my list of suggestions you get, the more tongue in cheek they are.

Some people know what holes they can safely drill in things, even $1000 things, to lighten them. It's up to you to decide whether you are one of them or not. It would be delusional for me to assume you were capable and willing or not. It is however delusional for you to expect me to know which group you are in. Likewise, some people, from what I've heard, do successfully bribe customs officials, and in some regions it's practically mandatory. If you're risk-averse, you won't want to try this, and that's fine. If you don't want suggestions, just say so.

I wish. It's a $1500 fine and confiscation so it's staying at home.

It's even more annoying as since the drone strikes from Yemen it's been illegal to fly it here in the UAE so I have a very expensive and cool paperweight.

Scheduled a courier pickup (a couple of days ago) for today. The courier didn't turn up. Tried to schedule it again and the site refuses to let me because the package already has a pickup scheduled.

In some countries that's perfectly acceptable, in a number of others it's more or less obligatory, as a visitor you always carry small amounts of cash for grease payments. I don't know what the situation is with Turkey.

Actually Greece is particularly annoying in this regard in that grease payments don't work, so you've got all the inefficiency of any third-world country but you also can't use small financial contributions to work around it. For example in any proper third-world country you'd pay someone to hold your place in the 3-hour queue to see the government official, in Greece you can't do that but have to sit it out, or take a chit and keep coming back over and over to see whether it's been called. I don't know how that country funct... well I've just answered that one haven't I.

If someone doesn't have any knowledge of a country they have to be stupid to even suggest bribing an official.

I sort of agree and know what you mean in respect of certain types of comments. Particularly annoying are comments in other threads on semi-legal or technical matters where people who clearly have no knowledge of the subject matter post 'authoritative' comments - which are patently BS. You have been a champion in some of those threads.

However if something is worthy of posting in this thread, you need to expect comments - by posting here you are tacitly inviting comments and input. If they're comments that you don't mind, you don't say anything. However if you dislike them, you feel aggrieved and say "... not a thread to ask for annoying comments". I don't think you can have it both ways. Many of those other threads are 'serious' threads where people are looking for advice. This is a 'bit of fun' thread - the reason people post here is to see the comments.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
