Pretty much anyone can make a better pizza than Dominos. There are as yet undiscovered tribes in the Amazon jungle who can produce a better pizza than Dominos, they're kind of the lowest level of the scale that everyone else is better than.

Luckily the local Dominos doesn't think our address exists so won't deliver here, which protects us from them.

If you're on the North Shore and want a really good pizza I can recommend Blitza in Birkenhead, their tandoori chicken pizza (chicken breast topped with red onion, cashew nuts, coconut, mango chutney and banana) is divine.

The only Pizzas worth eating are the ones my wife makes, honest, they are and she is not in the office as I type this.

That depends on whether the brownies are better than the pizzas!

If I am honest, I much prefer a good home made pizza and also enjoy the process (although I don't make my own bases as that's just too much faff).

It just works out to be so expensive when you buy fresh produce to make a decent pizza at home.

My wife has worked in IT for 30 years but never looks at tech web sites unless she is specifically researching something. While working she will read product updates etc. When she gets home she switches off IT related noise and focuses on other things like her passion for cooking so she wont see this thread.

Not bringing your work home with you is always a good thing.

Particularly if you're an undertaker.

It’ll be OK after 1 April next year when GST comes off fresh produce. 😁

It was winter. Snowing, way below 0c. Really cold. I ordered Domino's and drove to collect it. Went back to the hotel (nice Hilton Valley Forge).

Valley Forge is renowned and legendary in US history as a Cold Place. It was there that George Washington overwintered his revolutionary army in 1777. They were poorly-clothed, poorly-sheltered and malnourished. Thousands died from those factors and disease.

For Americans it’s become synonymous with trial by hardship - and having to endure eating Domino’s there in the depth of winter fits right in with the tradition.

There is a fairly big assumption behind the statement above :)

It's spectacular in autumn once all the tourists have left, everything covered in drifts of brown leaves, picturesque and cold enough to get a feeling for what it must have been like without experiencing it too directly.

When people mark your Job Ticket as Resolved when it isn't!

But I smiled when I got the auto response to it being Resolved, and to rate the response.

I ticked "Poor", sent to comment, added "Issue is NOT resolved!"

And when you ask them to re-open the ticket because they haven't actually resolved it, they refuse because "we cannot re-open tickets because it makes our KPI's look bad".
*face palm*

I have an agreement with one provider to never close tickets without my OK and whenever they do I get to call our account manager.  Then I get emails with an extended subject length with both the closed and new references included.

You're not on Atlantis anymore, Duncan Idaho.
