The sense of entitlement of these guys who are upset that it's taken the council until now to start fixing up the Western Springs Stadium:

“I’ve invested a hell of a lot in this sport over the last 20 years,” says speedway team owner Wayne Green, “and to have no sandpit to play in is quite distressing.”

I'm sure all the families who have been living in someone's garage for the last seven months because their homes are red-stickered will be happy that his sandpit is being fixed up for him at ratepayer expense.

As a motorsport person (different discipline, we turn both ways), it's incredibly disappointing to see this sort of self entitlement from one group.  In rallying, we've lost many top level rally events over the past couple of years, this year losing both Coromandel and Hawkes Bay rally events due to storm damage.  There's just no way we, as a sport, could justify trying to run gravel rallys on roads in areas that have significant storm damage and are focused on getting their infrastructure up and running.  We recognise the privileged position we have.  Apparently unlike some others.

These are all just arbitrary limits. Overall, males do have these advantages but there is also overlap. There are  some women who are bigger and stronger than the average man, though most are not.

Yup - some are just naturally built that way

A software provider releasing a change log as a youtube video. Rather than the traditional list of changes I can scan in 30 seconds, I have to watch a 20 minute video!

As someone who struggles with auditory processing (listening)... extremely frustrating.

I know, its not exactly original, but -

Wake up, look out window - blue skies, check weather forecast, no rain till this afternoon, rain radar completely clear, wash clothes, hang them out (at 10am), what happens...

Regarding the Weather, I ask the missus for her prediction and go for the opposite!

99% Accurate! (The opposite of her prediction!)

And how long have you lived in Auckland for again?

Alternatively: It was Metservice you checked with wasn't it?

It's OK, eventually your joints will inform you about weather conditions, and they're 97% accurate.

Unfortunately, missus couldn't care less about the weather, but luckily I obsess about it more than enough for both of us anyway...

Dropping my iPhone Pro and then running over it. Sadly it did not live long or prospered. The last post has sounded.

https://www.stuff.co.nz/entertainment/music/300954298/fat-bottomed-girls-cut-from-queens-greatest-hits-to-appease-younger-audience

Queen’s Fat Bottomed Girls has been dropped from a greatest hits compilation targeted at younger listeners.

The suggestive 1978 single in praise of “dirty ladies” with fuller figures was a chart success and featured on previous selections of favourite tracks by the glam rock band.

However, a new compilation of Queen hits released by Universal Music for a younger market does not feature the Fat Bottom Girls and its lyrics celebrating the beauty of a “heap big woman”.
