OneDrive filters that don't filter.

I have a list of file types set to not sync to the cloud - including something like *.log - and obviously these files are synchronised to the cloud.

Stupid software developers.

Just "OneDrive" would have been enough.

The recent number of videos on YT that address the viewer as if their IQ was smaller than their shoe size.

Geektastic: The recent number of videos on YT that address the viewer as if their IQ was smaller than their shoe size.

Well, it's probably because there are a lot of people with this "shoe size". I find it much worse when the presenters are in that category.

I find it very irritating to be addressed in a voice over video as if I was aged 8 and hard of understanding when the topic being discussed is not a topic children would likely to be watching YT videos about.

The world is becoming more and more "dependent" and people believe they can make it "better" through procedures, instructions and compliance on the least level.

I once had to attend mandatory compliance seminars where I would have preferred to leave. What was imparted there for inherited self-evident human interactions was an insult to my intellect. Today I am of the opinion that there is no such education any more, because you have the compliance seminars! 😄

Once upon a tine the village idiot could get on a soapbox and only the village heard him now with the internet and social media the whole world is graced with his ramblings.

Trying to work from home when my home office is the main way from the house to the garage, where the laundry is located and my wife is off work today.

My wife is off work today and she's mooching about and trying to talk to me and she's very nice, but I AM TRYING TO WORK.

I've tried noise cancelling headphones, but then she just comes in and gets my attention to ask me the millionth question.

I think I might go into the office.

You certainly wouldn't have said that if you had only met a fortnight ago. 😄

I've had this too. I explained that it was nothing personal, it didn't mean anything if I ignored her, but interruptions are bad. I would come and talk to her during smoko and lunch breaks. She should pretend that I am not there, and get on with her day without me.

It helped, but not 100%. Good luck!

I had a odd confrontation last night while walking my brothers dog around the block after tea. Minding my own business walking down the street past a skip on side of the road, and suddenly a very angry voice yells out "Did you just chuck something into my skip!". I couldn't see the person, it was on the dark side of the street and no house lights on in front of bin. So I reply what?, as I was startled, and he repeats same. So I just say back quite clearly, NO, I'm walking past with my dog you fool! I hear some mutterings and I keep going.

Even if I did chuck a doggy bag in there (I didn't), it is not like I hauled a rubbish bag and a couch around the block! Was quite annoyed about that.

Confrontation aside, I can understand the annoyance of the skip hirer.

After you've ordered and paid for a skip that meets your needs, there seems to be a segment of society who believe that this is then a free tipping site for whatever they want to get rid of.  While, in theory, a small rubbish item would not necessarily make any difference, at what point does this tip past being a problem?

In one definite case, if you order a clean fill skip and some numpty decides they would like to get rid of an old mattress into it, you now have to deal with the mattress yourself, at your cost, in addition to the clean fill skip which they won't pick up if it contains anything other than clean fill.

Yup, that's pretty much universal for anyone with a skip in their driveway. I've had neighbour #1 complain that neighbour #2 filled my skip with so much crap that there was no room left to add their own crap to it.

Trying to order one of these from Kmart.

Their store stock levels only seem to update periodically, not real time and it keeps going in and out of stock online for ordering. They will then refund you instead of waiting till they have one available to send to you

Contact Energy being careful to notify users of the new charges they're imposing:

I assume there's a legal requirement to do this, and they've figured out how to be technically compliant while not actually telling you what the new charges are.
