On the Smeg we just randomly wiggle the buttons and levers until it seems to be doing what we want. There are no useful hieroglyphs to guide you, just obscure symbols. The user manual is Dan Brown's "Da Vinci Code".

Are you sure that's not a Baumatic?

When you press the button by the symbol that looks like the palm of a hand held up the oven starts. No idea what the others do, although they're all highly modal apart from the hand-palm one.

Those are in the same order as my Simpson. The only one I ever use is the leftmost, to set a timer. Apart from that I need to press 2, 3 and 4 simultaneously after a power outage otherwise the oven won't do anything.

Wow that is pretty obscure. But check this out. These are the main oven controls:

The important one is the one on the right if that helps.

"Security" company that makes all password fields non-Copy/Paste compatible. I can't paste a randomly generated password from my password manager, forcing me to type a 48-character random string. Twice.

Idiots.

YouTube tutorial for product X. "We're going to make what you see here, 100% in product X."

Fifteen seconds later, "you can't actually do this natively in product X, so we're going to use product Y."

So much for 100%...

those enrollment confirmation  letters they send out , what is the point , if nothing is changed throw it out . But if you live at a different address you are not going to get the letter to change it so why send them .  They are just a waste of paper and time

They sent one to me in Australia. Like, yeah, I confirmed my enrollment details three months ago. The cost must be immense including oversees electors.
