My wife just empties the entire contents of a can on each fly. The poor buggers drown before the chemicals have a chance to kick in.
Get you a zappy racquet.

They have Pam’s Finest frozen croissants and pain au chocolat.
Both actually made in France and both extremely good. However, both missing from the freezer in the supermarkets around here for at least the last 6 months.
Pam's Finest triple chocolate ice cream is a favourite of mine... and I haven't seen it for 2-3 years. It's still on the Pam's website though!
along with Pam's finest jam, 60% fruit and less sugar used to set the jam because of it , made in Denmark and the best jam i have tried.
Common sense is not as common as you think.
johno1234: Blowflies that seem to be immune to Raid fly spray
Raid is useless and overpriced. Black Flag is far superior.

msukiwi:johno1234: Blowflies that seem to be immune to Raid fly sprayThrow the can at them. All brands have the same effectiveness using this method! (All lousy!)
If a spray does not contain diethyltoluamide (DEET), you can save yourself the money. Unfortunately, DEET is both a hazardous substance and an allergen.

Yet if it's a wasp or hornet one tiny squirt of Raid and they drop like a stone.
When I was involved in fruit fly trapping in the QLD fruit fly outbreak back in 2019 we used pheromone baited traps with Dichlorvos (DDVP) insecticide strips. That stuff dropped any flies that wandered into the traps really fast. Not available to the public due to toxicity - had to do a course and get a license to work with it.
Apart from their effectiveness or otherwise, I dislike ordinary insect sprays because their spray is too coarse - anywhere near a surface and you get globules of spray on it. Because they’re large, the spray droplets are heavy and settle quickly.
We have a Raid ‘Robocan’ device that we use just like a standard fly spray - but not using its timer spray function. It has a very fine aerosol spray that stays suspended in the air and doesn’t settle on surfaces. We just spray it on or near any invaders and it’s highly effective. The device puts out short bursts of spray so you need to repeatedly push the button a few times to get a decent volume near the critter.
I have no understanding of the chems used in these things but Robocan says its active ingredients are pyrethrins and piperonyl butoxide.
Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
afe66: Wires phone chargers.
Great no more fiddling with plugs in the night.....
Except put it down, it's not charging, move it a bit to left a bit up and bit to left now a bit closer... At last it's charging..... Should have just plugged it in via USB
Sounds like the one in my car. I guess they have to make the width/length to cater to all phone sizes. But I put my work iPhone in, starts charging, go round a minor corner. Stops charging.
To be honest, since going to Android Auto I never use the wireless charging in the car anyway. I've stopped charging my phone at night too, as I drive so much for work it's usually topped up mid morning.
That my cat only 'loves' me when she is sopping wet. (I am pure sweet and innocent, don't corrupt me).
Why does every Chrome browser update insist on disabling the spel checker? 😉
Three fraudulent transactions overnight on my credit card.
The money is fine, the bank will sort it out but it's the hassle of needing a new card that's annoying.
