Hey, It's time for me to break the drought of a lifetime of not winning any competitions. A free line of strike doesn't count, so pimp my p.o.s phone to some fancy techco model and thrust me into the next decade sporting a phone to be proud to lay conspicuously inconspicuously on the bar in some hob-nob city pub while knocking back some ridiculously priced foreign beer.

I have an old Sony Ericson K-700i.

It works as a phone and that's about all.

Here's what doesn't work:
1) The joystick. Moving down or right doesn't work.
2) The charger. It pretty much a question of luck whether the phone charges or not each night.

It also messages/calls randomly from the address book. Even after a factory reset.

Apart from that, its an old faithful. Silver paint chipped revealing gray plastic beneath.

I'm a developer and having been eyeing Android with interest. Safe to say I'd love to move up to something more reliable, with more apps and I'm already on 2degrees.

In short, an android smartphone on 2 degrees would be a godsend right now.

My daughter starts her new school next year (Raroa).  I am already bombarded by pleas that she is the ONLY one in her class without a cell phone.

Life will not be worth living if she is deprived of a phone next year!

This will make a superb Christmas gift and I will bask in the glory of being the best dad ever!

NokNok

My trusty Nokia 2280.
The buttons down the left side are sticky at start up - makes for an interesting couple of first TXTs of the day.
Instantly becomes a handsfree when I plug the earpiece in no fancy bluetooth here.
It's been sat on, left in the rain and even fallen off the bonnet of the car while cornering (can't remember how it actually got on the bonnet).
It's Big and blue and proudly worn on my belt-clip. Every old duffer should have one.... It's part of the uniform ;-)

Currently working with a Nokia 6121 Classic.  Very good what I would call a basic phone.  Have it linked to my Outlook for contacts and calendar via bluetooth dongle.  Works great for that.  Having a new Andriod phone would be a great Xmas present.

I currently have a Nokia X6 16GB. It's an okay phone, which I've mod'd to make it better. Still though, after years of being a nokia fanboy, I'm keen to join the Android camp!

Does it come with NFC? will be interesting to see how the mobile payments industry evolves over the coming years especially with the use of near field communication.

My current phone is a Nokia 2730. It's a basic phone nothing spectacular. Definitely would want an Android

I have a Motorola which I can't lock so the kids get hold of it and ring people.  Would love a new phone that is a bit more secure
