Who on earth would think such a thing?

Those knighthoods were awarded before their holders' misdeeds were known, unlike Mallard's, and they were duly rescinded. Unlike Mallard's.

It’s what was posted.

Mallards “misdeeds” were small beer compared to Muldoon but he still got a knighthood.

Bung:

johno1234: A new year honours list that awards a gong to Trevor Mallard.

The last scrap of respect I had for the honours system has been removed.

The system has no shame, Brownlee will almost certainly get one when he retires from Speaker's job.

Honours List isnt a Long Service Award, but it is. Knighthoods are the same.

Some people deserve awards for real contributions. Politicians are just doing a day job. Yes there may be outstanding ones, but cannot think of anyone iff the top of my head

What I'm really deeply annoyed about is that you always start partying before us on your stupid little islands! Can't you just wait for us? 😉😁

Ok, now really the last joke for this year:

"What do Alexander the Great and Kermit the Frog have in common?"

.

.

.

"Their middle names."

Holidaying in BC Canada which is almost the last time zone in the world. 😜
Weird when even the UK is ahead of us here.
