That my Mighty Ape order arrived in 1 day instead of the usual 2. So I was here for it, not while I will be at the dentist tomorrow :-)

Good luck in the chair.

That, and the brains in ability for pain to be physically recalled! Otherwise the human species would have died pretty quickly!

Unfortunately, due to the high dose blood thinners I am on (For the rest of my life - however long that is!), 99% of them I can't use!

(Only allowed 1 x Panadol tablet per week, NO Neurofen etc. Codeine works!)

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

When people accidentally remind me to buy a new toner cartridge when I head out later, as the convenience ran out.

Saw one of these in the flesh today, happened to be at the dealer as a guy picked his up. He kindly let me have a good look at it. What a machine! What a colour.

When my 5 year old tries to pull one over on me, thinking he is so clever. When he laughs out loud makes me smile as well. Nothing like children's laughter.

Man, is it dusty in here?

Most of the time, I think the human race isn't worth saving, but sometimes, just occasionally, I see a glimmer of light and think we might be redeemable :)

I don't consider my day complete without hearing at least one of my kids giggle.

On the subject of children...

Watching Miss 15 cook dinner tonight, and then enjoying a fantastic meal with her. Spuds and greens from the garden (that she has grown) along with venison back steaks, from a deer that she shot herself.

She'd lead our hunt during the school holidays and spotted the animals, before making a considered decision on which one she should take - not the easiest one either! A successful stalk followed by a clean shot. Field dressing and carrying was her responsibility too, although I did help by carrying the rifle. She's all over skinning and can happily break an animal down without assistance, including boning out and even butterflying shoulders for rolled roasts!

The enjoyment from seeing her satisfaction in taking an animal from the field to the plate, doing every step along the way, is indescribable - definite proud dad moment!

So so much more than a meal.

Edit: Removed the photo - on second thoughts, some may not appreciate the sight of the animal, although Miss 15's smile is unmistakable!

Pre-ordered a Blu-ray from Amazon. It was released on Wednesday, and arrived on my doorstep today.
