Don't forget the constant "live" crosses to breathless reporters telling you the same thing as the studio anchor while standing outside a location where someone was earlier that was related to the story in question. Bonus if its just their house.

Yes, it grinds my gears to see a live cross to some reporter (& unseen camera operator) standing outside a Police station / Hospital to tell us that the Police / Te Whatu Ora has just released a press statement, which the reporter then reads or paraphrases.

The statement was most likely released from the district headquarters or even Head Office in Wellington, and it being read from a more local place simply attempts to add immediacy and authenticity in a way which borders on the deliberately deceptive.

And then there's the time, expense and CO2 emissions inherent in delivering the reporter, light, camera & operator to the chosen location.
😡😡😡

At a time when we have a proliferation of senility, ignorance, hubris, deceit, criminal narcissism, megalomania and pure evil resident in the halls of power around the world intent on global destruction by one means or another the need for the highest level of investigative and unbiased journalism like the type that uncovered Watergate has never been more vital. We have however for example Tucker Carlson et al.

When a Company gives you details to track your parcels, including a link to the couriers tracking page and ticket numbers , and it is the WRONG courier company!

Westpac will do it for preferred customers.

BNZ - NO

ASB - NO

I have been told the others dont by other people so I did not bother to check

It may be location-dependent, in central Orkland there's no problems exchanging cash in any of the widely-used currencies, presumably to cater to the tourist market. In (say) Hamilton I would assume there'd be less demand for this.

Vendor: This backup is flat fee and no need to worry about storage limits.

Me: Tell me about pricing specifically.

Vendor: It's very straight forward, it's X amount per endpoint, and then you just buy account wide storage accounts in 500GB amounts.

Me: Staring in complete disbelief.

Account management at its best. Still I guess so long as you don't need more than 500GB the first statement is true. 🤥

This is supposedly the top technical guy presales for their product.

It's par for the course for the company that bought the company that was doing just fine thank you very much and now it's very much inline with their entire business practice.

I got a follow up email 'why did you lead the webinar so suddenly'...

It took quite a lot of restaint to not reply 'because I was suddenly quite worried I could catch stupid if I stayed!'.

@MikeB4 Does your Scooter or wheelchair have a usb output on them?
My e-scooter, e-bike, neighbours mobility scooter all have a USB output on them. They are a bit slow, but they will charge a phone.

Pasta normally comes in 500 gram packs. Pasta Maria at Packnsave have all their packs now at 400 grams. Definite shrinkflation as I happened to have an old packet at 500gm.

And the packet size is the same, surely?

They should be forced to say in big brights letters on the front of a packet "20% reduction in contents" , just like the do with "10% more for free"

That IS really annoying. Most pasta recipes call for 250 or 500grams. For us 1 pack used to do two meals. now, we have to open a second pack and keep odd amounts of pasta hanging around.
