Every country seems to have its local preferred paint thinner that's brewed in someone's back yard or, if you're really fancy, a monastery where it's been made since 1275. Your story sounds like one of my uncles and slivovitz...

While I agree it is not an opinion I voice loudly. I am the cook, Mrs Handle is the baker. You can draw your own conclusions how that opinion would play out (hint, somehow poorly for me :) )

Quite like sleeping in your own bed do you ? Can't say I blame you :)

Georgians are more practiced than most. They have been making wine for something like 8000 years. A fair chunk of houses have a Qvevri in the basement.

It’s all very interesting but after a 2 day wine tour I needed a break.

This was in a legit supermarket from an international chain. The first thing you notice is the different fill levels, because they're recycled water bottles. Then you see the inkjet-printed hand-applied labels.

You could get drunk, you could go blind, give it a try, roll the dice...

Needless to say, after parking the various steeds of children and their friends/girlfriends around the corner, down the street and up the wazoo for the last few days, the roadworks still havent happened and don't look like they're happening any time soon.

We are experiencing this at the moment. Two days after the appointed date, the cones have finally gone out. The notice put in our letterbox had a photo-copied picture of such poor quality that you couldn’t tell where the works actually was. Turns out it’s around the corner from where we thought (we are on a corner section). Just as well we have off street parking for all our vehicles.

Baking you can give exact measurements. You're working with highly repeatable ingredients.

You've never met Mother Neb have you? Some years ago I wanted to write down a few recipes of things I liked, and every single one of them had no fixed, or in some cases even known, quantities, just "well a scoop or so of this" and "a bit of that, whatever seems right".

The only thing that helped me was to stand next to my mother and "intercept" and weigh the quantities. That then worked.

So last night, right on dark, the same truck that came around and put out all the cones and signs, came around and collected all said cones and signs. No road works have been carried out. I have no doubt Auckland Transport will be invoiced by the traffic management company for the putting out and taking in. What a waste of money.

I don't think it can be deleted altogether but at least I found a way to make the button disappear so I can at least pretend it's not there.

If you want to completely remove Copilot from your system, you will need to use either the Group Policy Editor or the Registry Editor. These methods are more advanced and require caution, as they can affect your system settings and performance. Before you proceed, make sure you back up your registry or create a restore point in case something goes wrong.

To remove Copilot using the Group Policy Editor, you will need to have Windows 11 Pro, Enterprise, or Education editions. The Group Policy Editor is a tool that allows you to configure various policies and settings for your computer and user accounts. To access the Group Policy Editor, type gpedit.msc in the Start menu or the Run command and hit Enter. Then, navigate to the following folder using the left panel: User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Copilot. On the right-side pane, double-click on the policy ‘Turn off Windows Copilot’ and select ‘Enabled’. Then, click ‘Apply’ and ‘OK’. This will disable Copilot entirely and remove it from the Settings app as well.

To remove Copilot using the Registry Editor, you can use any edition of Windows 11. The Registry Editor is a tool that allows you to view and modify the registry, which is a database that stores information about your system and applications.
