msukiwi:

We make our own yoghurt. Used to use Easiyo but got better results (And liked it better) with the Hansells sachets.

BOTH have been out of stock since November.

Strange co-incidence that both are out of stock at the same time.

Easiyo were supposedly moving factories over the Xmas period......and still nothing!

They must make Hansells too, even though the bacteria is a different mix.

(At least according to the corresponding sachet labels / websites)

PLEASE come back!

Our multi cooker has a recipe for yoghurt which involves something like a cup of yoghurt and a quantity of milk … have been meaning to try it out.

And then there are the little dog owners that have very aggressive, snarly and barking like crazy when you approach with another dog. Some times they are off lease and you have to run the gauntlet past them. My dog is under good control. They are not.

Friend of mine, responsible dog owner, said that a lot of this comes from people getting dogs during Covid/lockdown that were then never properly socialised. So we've currently got a cohort of improperly-socialised dogs, and in some cases dog owners, causing problems like the above.

I've been using the same sachet of Easiyo for a couple of years now, just as a starter to get the bacteria needed.

Making plain yogurt is super easy, and very cheap. I'll make 2 litres of milk with milk powder, microwave it in a systema-type sealable container until it is at least 83°, let it cool in the sink with water around it, and then put in half a teaspoon of Easiyo. Plonk it in the hot water cupboard or on a home-brew heating pad, and within 1-2 days, delicious, firm yogurt. Leave it longer for extra tangy goodness.

A note though, using yogurt you've made over and over for the starter tends not to work, as the balance of bacteria is optimized for one use, and some of the weaker ones seem to die off after many generations. It just ends up tasting really bland.

Just press anything because that is what everyone calling work seems to do and then get surprised when the person that answers cannot help with what they want to know.

That is most likely the crux of the issue and possibly lack of exercise. Critical to get a dog socialised not just with other dogs, but with younger kids if you have the opportunity and people in general. Little dogs aside, bigger dogs are sometimes hard to read when they are bounding up to you. Couldn't hurt a fly was mentioned, well my dog is a older retired farm heading dog / collie, and fly's are about the only thing in danger. Embarrassing to say we walk past pussy cats and rabbits and pretend they are not there LOL.

Press 3, this is probably the boss of Roger and Susan and wants to be bothered by the customer last (but he is usually not there, as you have already noticed).

That used to be the case when the person in charge still had a secretary. Today, everyone has equal rights and is in charge, so …

Companies that say they value your feedback and then ignore it. Four times they've asked for my feedback, four times I've suggested that they test their recipes, and they still refuse to do it.

Today's recipe: "Roughly chop garlic. Finely chop chilli. Dry prawns. Set all aside separately." followed immediately by "Add prawns, salt, garlic, chilli..."

Argh!

Today's one had me prepare beans, and then not use them.

On their receipt, the NZ Post tracking number is in the format: AA XXX XXX XXX NZ

When you copy and paste this into the tracking stuff in their app, it says "number is not in the required format".

So you have to edit it to remove the spaces.

The Pizza Hut website, I think it was, used to have an example phone number "021 123 4567" next to the field. If you enter it in that format then it complained that it wasn't a valid number (until you removed the spaces). They did eventually fix it, but it took a while!

This was the same site that used to have an icon of a £1 coin next to the "pay in store" option (it was eventually changed to $1).
