The response time on the Countdown self-service checkouts is ridiculous compared to the New World ones which is near instant

House Flys

... and fly spray that's so environmentally friendly and non toxic that it's next to useless.

Are there any fly sprays that still work?

Fly-ax pellets from farmlands ... keep out of reach of everything you hold dear...but they work

Everything about Countdown is slow. It is the worst supermarket in New Zealand. Unfortunately, the alternatives aren't much better. The lack of real competition really shows here.

why haven't the stupid things got mute buttons? If there weren't cameras all over them I shove a knife right through the speaker.

"please place the item in the bagging area"

"Approval needed, Approval needed".

"Please use pin pad to complete transaction".

"processing now"

"transaction accepted"

"thank you for shopping at New World"

At least New World's are relatively reliable. When I'm at Countdown it's "Follow the pin pad instructions", which feature a Paywave logo. Hold the card to the reader. "Please swipe or insert card". Swipe it. "Please insert card". So not only does it not support Paywave, but it even then tells you that a non-swipable card can be swiped. Combine this with the complete lack of maintenance, with the reader flopping around everywhere because they've never tightened the screws since building the place...

How about the many, many websites that still think Flash is an acceptable way to view videos, and insist on you installing it when you just want to look at a simple link? I don't want it on my browser at all, so I have to keep a second browser just for that! Someone should tell the dinosaurs running those sites that the world has moved on to a modern alternative.

Trademe sellers who sell 'genuine' parts but then when they arrive it is clear they are non-genuine.

They steal business from people selling genuine parts.  They also steal business from traders who admit they are not selling genuine parts.

More importantly, they are putting peoples lives at risk by selling goods with cheap components that are not certified as safe.

I emailed the trader who was trading under an 'english' name but actually has a chinese name for an email address --  and they say that maybe they sent the wrong one .   Well, rubbish to that, he knows exactly the crap he is selling .

Now, if i put in a negative feedback I will receive negative myself. So, whats the point? This trader has 99% positive feedback rating and will continue to keep that.

Sure, i knew at the time that a cheaper price (but not that much cheaper) indicates it could be fake, but i took the risk anyway. Will lay a complaint with trademe but I doubt they will do a thing other than to warn the user. He should be kicked right out.

It would be great to be able to program a car to accept some kind of standard key fob/remote , like the way you program a security access system to accept a fob. Then just have one fob to open everything.

I just couldn't cope if it automatically locked the vehicle when I walked away, it would do my head in.
