'Coronavirus: 31 British police officers fined for breaking COVID-19 lockdown rules to have haircuts'

I read this as 'For breaking lockdown rules they will now get haircuts' 🤣 that'll teach them. Make sense now 🤓

I'm not a complete idiot, I still have some parts missing.

Surely this is prescient... the correct headline should have been "A person has died at Piha *before* report of a drowning" or "Drowning reported after person drowns..."

Here, or something that makes you smile? Ah, what the hell? I'll put it here.

As I age, my hearing gets mushy. Still OK for most things, but I have CC on anyway.

As a result, I see a lot of hilarious mistakes by the caption algorithm. So many that they don't warrant special note here. But this one is in a class all its own.

So someone said 'that is big but', as in a big if. It got displayed as 'a big butt'. I'm glad I'm not actually deaf. They are getting a bad deal here.

Yet another one from my favourite publication - I know it's minor but these are people who are supposed to be journalists, right? Amazing -- Mum delivers her OWN baby as opposed to what exactly?

How did she get around the social distancing thing?

Might have been more interesting if she had delivered a midwife’s baby. Or if a midwife delivered her own baby.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Thank goodness "freaking out" was legible, otherwise I might have thought it might be important/useful/interesting/anything other than clickbait.

That goes along with, "The 10 reasons why...."' or "What you need to know before...."

Pleased to see it was also tagged a Premium article. I have been thinking about relenting and paying to get Premium content. Now I don't feel as if I am missing out on anything important.

I've had similar thoughts, though I am sure I would have signed up by now if I knew I could easily cancel whenever I wanted online without having to ring them

TBH that's the single biggest deterrent to signing up. They make a tempting introductory offer, BUT, you give them access to your credit card then they make it difficult for you to cancel if you decide it's not for you.

That sort of business model make me suspicious. If their product was so good they wouldn't need to make it hard to leave.

Potentially a new candidate for a Darwin Award

Gun laws in Tennessee are pretty lax, so pulling a knife on someone in this deep South state is equivalent to playing Russian Roulette.

Really? Using a lot of data makes you a "power user"?

I'd have thought it would label you as a couch potato. Or a porn addict. Or a student flat.

Yep that wasn't lost on me either. :)

The article is messed up anyway since the content is about data use not bandwidth.

And TB isn't bandwidth either, it's data storage (1TB p/s would be a hell of lot of bandwidth).

Guess the writer wasn't a Power User. :p
