Fred99:

People who post holiday snaps - and 3/4 of the pictures are of food.

And the other 3/4 are of people - and specifically the female half of 'people' - making duck faces.

Going from this:

To this:

Those jeweller's screwdrivers you can get anywhere are fine for adjusting the hinges on your reading glasses but absolutely useless for anything that requires applying actual torque, like rising-clamp terminal blocks. Suddenly I don't need to replace the existing block any more since I can actually loosen and tighten the screws on them.

Edited to add: $9.95 from Slurptronics, pretty decent price for what you get.

Never asked for but unexpectively got vaccinated by a J&J single shot vaccine. Nevertheless I’ll stick with the masks and precautions as long the public is asked for.

Finding out a sports injury isn't serious and won't prevent you from playing.

How fast ACC accept claims compared to 2 years ago.

COVID19 wasn't all bad.

Gluing a strip of timber behind some fibrolite in order to patch a hole that the cowboys cut into it. Instructions say to clamp securely which is a pain to do because spreader clamps don't really cut it for something like this, so:

Related to my power "problems" and UPS's beeping last week.

LED lights were flickering - now NOT!

Camera audio was noisy - now NOT!

One monitor would turn on then a minute later turn itself off - now NOT! Been going continuously since last Friday morning.

UPS's no longer beeping!

All problems appear to be caused by the loose phase wire into the pole fuse.

Probably other issues solved that I never realised that I had.

No problems with the higher load appliances.

I'm definitely smiling.

This at the local (Wairau Rd) Bunnings:

Mostly Ryobi, some Irwin and Kango, so not just dumping house-brand stuff.

For some reason, I feel a sudden need to make a trip to Bunnings to top up my consumables......

Hmm, might have to stop by. I seldom go into the tool area now since they started to be all insisting that you pay at the tool register since I usually want other stuff after I have gone in there.
