Moths.

My dear old mum knitted lovely jumpers for my kids but they've come out of a drawer with holes in them. They're not repairable and not handmedownable either.

Is that your opinion or have you shown the jumpers to an experienced knitter?

Finishing the sorting of my pills into a compartment box thingy ( I know I am old) ready for a trip this week and I drop the whole @#$%&$ lot on the floor. Second annoying thing I cannot assign blame to anyone else dammit.

I thought I would do that once with a pill container and they all adsorbed moisture and disintegrated when stored in the apparently not airtight container.

She'd spin in her grave if she knew that happened.

That is sad. We live near the bush so we store our winter clothes in vacuum bags over summer and vice versa for our summer clothes over winter. I have a couple of traditional Danish Jerseys knitted by my late mother that I would be heart broken if moths or silverfish got at them

You’d  be amazed at what can be done with holes in sweaters. You tube and especially Pinterest have heaps of options. It is disheartening though. They are almost always in the front and it’s because food drops there and attracts the moths there more so always wash winter woolens before storing.

Good foresight, giving her a spinning wheel in there!

(I hope it wasn't too recent or I'm going to feel bad for saying that...)

Yes you can, it was the cat running between your legs as you were carrying them.

If you don't have a cat then it was the imaginary unseen deceased cat from the previous owners.

Every time I see a certain Ad on TV showing a doorway lintel being cut away to allow a head shaped cutout above the door for the resident (Who is tall) to fit through without ducking!

Sheesh......you can see the timber of the cutaway lintel!

Ref: What is the purpose of a lintel?

A lintel, in its simplest form, can be defined as a horizontal beam that spans on opening, effectively distributing the weight of the structure above it to the surrounding vertical supports. Its significance lies in its ability to bear the load, prevent sagging, and preserve the overall strength of the building.

OK, you've all given me hope. If we haven't turfed them I 'll see if I can find a pro to take a look at them.

I love how you can literally paste in words from a listing you are looking at, and then it will not find that listing.

They are not the only importer of them and want to ensure they are not providing support for products they did not sell. Seems reasonable to me.

It turns out this was MY fault, my email client automatically inserted trade tested when it should have been trade depot.

My apologies to trade tested...however it took 5 emails for them to tell me they do not sell the brand...

I have deleted my original post, can you please do the same so there is no more harm done.

TVNZ+ yet again freezing on android dongle when I scroll and won’t move any direction. Can’t get out of the app or turn off the TV. Tried telling Nest Hub to turn off TV, it made the turn off sound but TV still stuck on the app.  Couldn’t be biffed getting up to fumble behind everything to turn off power so mutter mutter ignored it. Ten minutes later i look up and it’s gone to the dongle Home Screen. Wondering if this is a common problem with others.
