Finding out that due to a misconfiguration in my amp, my subwoofer has been doing nothing for at least 2 years.

My floor standers are so good, that they were compensating really well. At least I thought so, until the Sub actually activated!

Cooked tea early for my wife to take some to work only for some numpty to steal it from the staff room fridge.

I need to cook the same again but drench it in chilli sauce.

Noticed a medium travel suit case popped up at my local small pine forest I walk through every day. Today got the better of me, and I had to open it up to see what was inside!

Strange collection!  Part of a bbq with burner removed, 5L pump sprayer with that strong chemical smell that they have and for good measure dying seeded dock leaves!

It is annoying because kids or adults will open this and the contents will get tipped out, and it will spread around... Does have a airport tag.

I had someone using my sweet chili sauce at work so I added some of the number 10 Culley's into it to boost it up to where I could barely tolerate it. Fun results.

Thieves... someone has stolen our letterbox overnight. It was built into a stone wall so they've done some damage ripping it out, obviously for the scrap value of the metal. So frustrating.

I'd be putting in some laxative.

The pronunciation of "quay" is bugging me!

To me it is pronounced the same as "key"

But Redhat seem to have decided it is "qway"!

Well, it annoys me that quay in French is pronounced "ke", but NZ English uses "key". The UK English seems to favour "qway".

So?

My UK Oxford dictionary lists the same pronunciation for both "quay" and "key". Apparently quay used to be spelled "key" at one point, but was "influenced" by French in the 17th century.

I've never heard anyone pronounce it "qway" unless they're encountering the word for the first time.

"Influenced by French" or "borrowed from French"?

"Origin: late Middle English key, from Old French kay, of Celtic origin. The change of spelling in the late 17th century was influenced by the modern French spelling quai."
