OK, I admit it, I fell for the scheming of Vodafone (who obviously got wind of 2Degrees launching the IDEOS) and got myself a Vodafone 845 @ $199. In fact, I bought one for work (for evaluation), 1 for myself - and at least one of my colleagues got one as well. Am using a 2Degrees SIM card though!

Would have preferred the IDEOS, especially for my Android project (which involves developing a parental control app for Android). I've also got a Sciphone N19 (Android 1.5) and an Eken M001, so I guess you could call me an Android junky now.

Oh, and I've also put Android on my Nomad

Hopefully my newly won IDEOS Android wiil encourage people - or even aliens to communicate more with me.
Presumably it is a  multi lingual phone.
Will girls recognise it - and notice when it rings or whatever in my pocket.
And the envy factor . . . mmmm
But I will stay humble.

Hi, i just have gotten an android phone and I am loving it. Would be awesome if I could get one for my mum who has an on Telecom phone. Be good for her to get off Telecom and get a new phone.

I currently have a very cheap Samsung (unsure of the model)
Cost me 90 bucks and a week later was on dropped down to 50 lol

Telecom insists on cutting of service to this phone by 2012 so a new 2degrees phone could replace my current one.

I plan on travelling soon, and, as anyone who has tried letting me navigate knows, I could probably do with a phone that has GPS or a map program in it! This phone would do nicely :)

my missus has a sony ericsson which she complains about every day. I just switched her over to 2 degrees monthly last month. A shiny new android under the christmas tree would make her day

I have a Palm Treo Pro, but my wife needs a new one. Her old Samsung is koozed. The screen goes blank from time to time and has to turn it off/on to get going again. The screen use to go backwards, but has stopped doing that.

i have been looking for a reason to upgrade my mum's phone for sometime now (yes at 55 she can use smart phones and she has never worked in an office).
I currently have a Nokia N86 8MP and will would be nice to try out another phone other than Nokia for the last 5 years.
I always give my old phone to my mum as my Dad is on XT.

I have a tale of true, terrible woe.

I have a sony W200i, on its last legs.  It crashes, its battery folds up under the pressure of, say, taking a phonecall, and it keeps telling me that it's capable of emergency calls only.

Truly tragic.  I mean, disasterously bad.

A new android phone would a wonder.  The virtues of geekzone would be spread throughout the land by txt and phonecall.  'Tis true!

So I have an iPhone 3G but my wife only has an old and failing Motorola V3X which really needs to be replaced. Going to the IDEOS would be great as we're thinking of changing her over to 2Degrees anyway so it would be a perfect fit.

hi hi noobie alert! wooohoooo!
thank 2 Degrees tweet for my presence lol

okies i need an android
great time to join the comp ...
im a web designer geek
cool techy phones .. its to be expected, right???!! ....

instead i have a nokia thats so damn old i cant even remember when it was bought
coulda been early 2000's but hey at least it aint a motorolla brick from the 80's right?!

.... wronggggggg!

*drum roll please*

i now present to you the aptly named : Mobilly
(short for mo' hillbilly than a mobile should really be)

it has scuff marks on the entire surface
i think that could have been a cigarette burn mark from the sterling Millenium NYE held in Aucks but it doesnt really enamour me when your trying to read a text and the big smudgy part blocks your view of the screen
the sides panels no longer exist so when it rings the phone looks like a nightclub .... and not in a good way!
if i touch it too rashly or pick it up haphazardly the whole thing falls to bits, front & back covers, battery all come tumbling out

the only decent thing about this age old relic is that it changed from vodafone to 2Degrees so seamlessly i coulda cried and my kitty kat taking spotlight on the desktop
(shes still alive btw!  yay! the phone ... not so much!  boo! Undecided )

one day id like to be able to twitter from my phone ... but this old hua of a phone wont even get me near a browser like interface .... sad face all around!
so if this post isnt a good enough reason to recieve (with grateful appreciation to 2Degrees) a new android, then i dunno what is ...

Vote for me ... as you can see I obviously need a new phone and my birthdays just around the corner ...  hint, hint, nudge, nudge  Money mouth

thanks 2 Degrees and Twitter

yours sincerely
