Stick them on TradeMe for $1 reserve "pick up only". Someone will likely try and re-use them somewhere.
Will you ship to Waikikamukau? I need them by tomorrow.
And a buy offer of 50 cents, because $1 is just way too much.

How is enforcement handled? If it's not automated, do you think anyone will bat an eyelid if you use the bike lane? As someone who was unaware of the law until I saw your post, I'd more or less expect e-scooters to take the bike lane, as opposed to the footpath.
It's an NZTA law, so I'm guessing $150 infringement?
No I sincerely don't think any police worth their salt would bother with charging an e-scooter rider for using a cycle lane. But it's still the law and it's still illegal to use them.
For a Council which prides itself on getting people out of cars, it's hypocritical to spend millions on roads to make them more dangerous for scooter riders don't you think?
Depending on how strongly you feel about it you could try civil disobedience to get a bad law changed, e.g. organise mass scooter rides on it - too many people to prosecute - to point out the problem. Having scooters in bike lanes is perfectly legal in a lot of Europe without it causing the end of the world so it seems like a completely arbitrary decision. For example in Austria it's based on speed, if you're 25kmh or less you use the bike lane, otherwise the road (with a bit of extra stuff as well, because as a German-speaking country you need to have lots of extra regulations).
Edited to add: Just checked, it's not just "you may use bike lanes", it's "you must use bike lanes", and it's based on a lot of study and analysis of the issue. So the NZ requirements seem (a) at odds with a lot of Europe and (b) completely arbitrary.
Ok so this is annoying... text messages from Te Whatu Ora/ADHB.
About a month ago our GP referred one of our children to a specialist. I got a SMS today saying "Kia Ora $NAME , $NHI , is now booked for DERMA-PAED Appointment on XX/XX/20204 . Please reply YES to this message to confirm this appointment. Nga Mihi/Kind Regards, Te Whatu Ora/ADHB." (Punctuation and additional spaces as received!)
It doesn't say where the appointment is. It doesn't say what time the appointment is. It doesn't say who to contact to find out where or when the appointment is. That's annoying.
Now I have to waste time of various people, and my own time, ringing around before the appointment date to work out exactly where and when we are supposed to go.

At a guess, I'd say that there's a letter in the post to you. Of course, you only get mail three days a week, so maybe tomorrow?
Mind you, it might even be already in the letter box you never look in anymore because nobody has sent you an actual letter in several years. Sigh
Last dx mail i got was sent on the 16th received on the 29th

I will keep an eye out. I assumed the text message was a sign they were no longer doing mail.
Last time we needed a hospital appointment (in 2019) we missed it three times because the letter consistently arrived three days after the appointment date.
Even though I have checked all the correct boxes, when I enter a new event in Calendar on Mac, it fails to sync through iCloud to my iPhone and iPad. Really annoying.
It works OK the other way iPad/iPhone > Mac. I find the Mac calendar cumbersome anyway so I'll just stop using it and work through the mobile devices.
Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
When a URL is posted as plain text instead of a clickable link, I select it then press Ctrl-CTV to copy, open a new tab, and paste.
That didn't work just now: one of my extensions decided to hijack the new tab to harp on about how it's been updated to the newest version.
Further to the ant saga. Sugar now in screw top jar no longer in a sugar bowl. No sweet food left out. No sign of any ants at all for quite a while.
Last night I left a tall glass jug of water on the bench with a lid on that has a small pouring opening. The jug was full of drowned ants this morning. Never heard of ants going after water. There were a lot. In the past have only seen a few sporadic travellers.

There must have been something sweet in the water. That is the only reason ants would do that.

It was boiled cooled water that I poured into the jug. No sugar at all.
Ants don't work for nothing.
