What's making me smile right now? Hearing my little fluffy dog snoring and chuffing as he sleeps and dreams in his basket next to my desk.

Go on.

Well it was a great story - invented to encourage ascetism and fear of incurring wrath from the gods.

I guess jeans dyed to make it appear you've peed your pants could serve a function to maintain social distancing during times of plagues.

Don’t be alarmed if he’s snuffling in his sleep - it’s just Canine Ocular Visualisation In Dreams.

A lot of dogs have had it recently but the majority of them get over it OK. 😀

Within the past 5 minutes a NZ Post courier managed to walk past the window by my desk, tiptoe over a tiled landing about 2m away from where I'm sitting, press the doorbell button without making it ring, knock on the front door with a feather, silently slide a note between the door and jamb, then sneak away without me seeing or hearing a thing. If these guys took up daylight burglary using those skills, they'd make a killing.

The delicious first coffee from fresh beans. It annoys me that the previous bag was old and crappy but this is so tasty.

The thought of getting one of these clown phones just for the sheer WT F-ery of pulling out something as ridiculous as that. The "Leika" lens on the back is the icing on the cake.

Would you bet only one of those "lenses" work?

The "rear camera" (singular) is a dead giveaway. I wonder how they fake an on screen fingerprint sensor on something that crappy? Just accept any finger impression? In any case truly a clown phone.

If it wasn't total crap that would be a good portable tablet sized thing.

Ordering some rust erasers (very useful for getting rid of light surface rust on things without abrading away half the surface) from Japan and getting them with this little extra included:

I was watching some euro 2020 and I've always liked the thing they do in footy where, when a player goes down, the team with the ball kick it out to allow for a stoppage, enabling the player to be attended to.

The thing that makes me smile is the way the team with the throw in return the ball to the team that kicked it out.

It's very sporting.

Another thing that makes me smile is how many injuries can be fixed by some magic water, or if it's really serious, some spray.

This could go in the "annoys" thread but I found it more amusing than anything... HBO testing in production.
