Tinkerisk: Managed to gather tools from an old German Company named Belzer-Dowidat in a very good 'near new' shape :-)

Still got my Belzer screwdrivers from my Telegraph Tech days back nearly 40 years ago.  They still get used regularly and are as good and comfortable as the day I bought them.

Didn't you have to make your own tools way back at the NZPO?

You're not on Atlantis anymore, Duncan Idaho.

Had a call from a charity 'survey' this evening. The woman's voice seemed unnaturally upbeat, so I accused her of being a bot and said I didn't want to talk to her. Long silence. She finally said that was the first time anyone had ever said that to her. I said I still didn't want to talk to her and ended the call.

Maybe a suggestion if you get a cold call from a smooth talker. Just accuse them of being a chatbot. If nothing else, it will throw them off their stride.

Promised grandchild pancakes if she ate all her lunch. Last night am in panic mode with husband in A-fib and me trying to look calm. Explained to grandchild that grandad very sick and might go to hospital. In that time she must have asked me ten times when I was making her the pancakes. Didn’t happen of course but am informed other daughter making them this morning so I suspect she was also harangued.

Never promise a child something you can’t do.

Sorry, cast iron and wrought-iron pans only for me but it requires correct handling skills to get them into the non-stick mode :-)

A cast-iron skillet has many uses in the kitchen. It's great.

Of course you can! Tell then you're taking them to McDonald's, remind them several times McDonald's, McDonald's, McDonald's. Then drive to a place where there's been a fire and say "oh no, McDonald's burned down".

Deep down I'm sure they'll appreciate the life lesson.

😃Wouldn't surprise if there were Engineering Instructions in there somewhere for fabricating your own screwdriver.

"Looks like it".

It appears that two brothers, 21 and 17 years old, who ran "an investment firm exclusively focused on crypto-currency and blockchain technology" have "disappeared" along with =NZ$ 5 billion worth of investor funds.

Every "crypto" and "blockchain" is a scam.
