Some of my colleagues are actual, genuinely nice people.

Congratulations. That can be a fantastic feeling.

I remember driving into a used car place once. I passed a young lady coming out. She had the broadest grin on her face I have ever seen. For at least that one moment, she was the happiest person in the universe. It was a delight to see.

BMW M5.

I've wanted one since seeing the first E28's back in the 80's. After watching the market for what seems like forever I decided a few months ago life was too short and I should just do it.

I've done V8's and V12's so I've gone with the E60 so I can try the V10 engine revving to 8250rpm. All the major work has been done with receipts from reputable mechanics so there is some piece of mind.

I'm going to be giggling like a little kid for a very long time.

That happens on V8s when the engine vibrations carry through to the driver's seat.

Inappropriate comment. It happened because she had just realised a dream. I was happy for her.

It's the last day of school today. We just got this email from my daughter's learning support teacher who is moving on.

Dear Handle and Mrs Handle

It has been an honour to work with Junior Handle over the past two years. Thank you for sharing her with me, she truly has inspired me to learn and understand more in the field of dyslexia. Junior Handle is such a tenacious, resilient child. I am so incredibly proud of her.

My wife works at a Kindergarten.

She has rather interesting work stories from time to time, but also has some really quite endearing ones too.

The other day she came home and told me that one of the little boys (who is a bit of a ratbag) came up to her and said, "You know what? I like you. Not as much as I like Sharon. And definitely not as much as I like Joanna. But yeah."

Then he walked off and promptly threw something at another child...

The first bit of her story made me smile...I'm not going to lie, the last bit also made me chuckle, just for the sheer silliness of the behaviour immediately after being cute and friendly.

The fact that you can now get five-way power points instead of the previous maximum of four per power point. Bonus for the fact that it says "Deta" on them rather than "HPM" so you're paying half the HPM price.

Unrelated: What's an auto-switched power point? It's either switchable or it's always-on, so what does "auto switched" mean?

It means that it has some complex mechanism to turn the power on at the last second when the plug reaches the limit of travel that IME seems prone to failure.

Ive not seen them, the 4 way has been a good one for a long time but the issue I have with the deta 5 ways is that theyre not centered on the flushbox so my efforts in putting the boxes in nicely lined up is all for nothing.
