A match or lighter will confirm the leak๐
Bet it is fixed fast then!
Rep. Beryl Amedee, R-Schriever, presented the bill for Owen, saying ivermectin has been “deemed as safe as Tylenol” and used successfully to treat head line, rosacea and asthma. Over-the-counter topical creams with ivermectin are available to treat skin ailments, but the FDA has only approved the drug’s internal use for certain intestinal parasites.
Committee members questioned whether the state could approve ivermectin purchases without a prescription if the FDA hasn’t condoned such use. Amedee noted Tennessee did so in 2022, and physicians in Louisiana have referred patients to Tennessee pharmacies to obtain ivermectin.
Jill Hines, co-founder of Health Freedom Louisiana, testified in support of Owen’s bill. She said the World Health Organization, “although it’s a group we don’t like,” has endorsed ivermectin for COVID-19 treatment, which is not entirely factual. WHO has only supported the drug’s use in clinical trials.
Hines, who is not a medical expert, was asked about Amedee’s claim that ivermectin is as harmless as Tylenol. She said her household does not use Tylenol because she considers it unsafe.

Now in theory they could be martensitic stainless steel which a magnet will stick to, but it's highly unlikely someone is making cheap pruners from 440 stainless so it's most likely stainless E&OE steel.
[*] As opposed to, say, marine-grade stainless steel.
"These measures, Mr. Martuscello said in the memo, were to “ensure the safety of staff, visitors and the incarcerated population, and to ensure the integrity of our facilities during this event.”"

I guess that depends if that is the usual night time process. If it's dark and easier to escape as a result then it may be appropriate to keep the inmates in their housing units if that is what normally happens at night when it's dark.
Look, Florida Man can't be everywhere all the time!
kingdragonfly: A couple of weeks old. This is definitely not the first of this kind of video.
Interesting ending.
Georgia: Disgruntled former employee hijacks front loader and leads police on a slow-speed chase
Didn't Top Gear do something similar where they had Captain Slow being pursued at a leisurely pace by the Top Gear Police Force? They eventually got him with something like a 2S3 self-propelled gun, God knows where they got that from.
Actually given that this is the US the police probably do have an M109 parked in a garage somewhere they could have used.

Nice to see a statistic / report which aligns with your own "perceived" experiences!

Well, you can sort out small things directly with your neighbor, the police won't come. A few times with a rifle in the mailbox or a shotgun at the garden grill and the matter is settled. ๐

nothing new.
the 90's/2000's "domestic violence is not a problem in nz". "meth is a jut a minor party drug", the on/off burglary rates" "lack of road policing", "reducing arms officers/inspectors" etc. our history is full of lack of policing causing social problems. imho police have always been horribly underfunded and in times of recession, when we need it the most, budgets are often cut.
the big question is whats going to be the social consequence to us this time?
