"Rush" (Formula 1 racing) - well done, not boring to watch the race. It is hard to make any race movie/video game not being boring, somehow they've managed to do it. Good. Reminded me about shooting real race from inside the car, when the leading car lost the wheel and it missed us by few inches ....

"Predestination" - what a sick idea - travel in time, changing gender and f@#$ing themselves, even having a baby. Pathetic. Waste of time (unless you can travel in time after you've watched the movie and rewind it back not to regret of hiring that bluray in the first place :))

"Her" – they are dating their own OS, confused… surrogate body suggested by OS to have S@#?? Really? Do you really need to watch the movie to realise that there is life outside Internet/PC/Mac/Android? For the last two decades I am observing a growing population of zombies glued to computer screens (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc) who can't even go to the loo without leaving their Galaxy/Ipad on the bench…. They feel lonely deeply inside and try to fill-in the lack of real face-to-face emotions by “being connected electronically” That movie could be an awakening call for some...
Main actor's play is 10 out of 10… CGA plane sculpture - nose down - is very, very bad idea….
Not excited about that movie...Went asleep after first hour… and made an effort to watch the second part next day after family insisted….

With yesterday's crappy weather, I watched Big Hero 6 which I enjoyed, and it gave me a couple of good laughs. 7.5/10
Also watched Unbroken which I enjoyed. Would give that an 8/10.

Avengers: Age of Ultron 3D (8.5/10)

Lots of fun.  I made a point of avoiding learning too much about the film's story before going in, but despite that I already knew most of the major plot points before it started.  However, for a film like this it didn't really matter.  The action set pieces are great, the chemistry between the core cast is good, and it rocks along at a nice pace (though overall it's slightly on the long side).

There's not much more to say about it that won't give away plot spoilers.  Good film.  Will be watching again on blu-ray, for sure.

Avengers AOU.

7 out of 10 - too long and some plodding bits; could have been edited to be more entertaining and 20 minutes shorter.

Still, at least Peter Jackson did not make it into 3 films.

Watched a couple of older movies over the weekend.

Good Will Hunting: A classic; Robin Williams is really good in this. 7/10
Manhunter: the original 1986 adaptation of Thomas Harris's Red Dragon. I've read the book several times and am a big fan of the Hannibal Lector series . I think the remake was slightly better but I enjoyed it. 6.5/10

I also watched Avengers Age of Ultron this weekend...

I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Not quite the engagement level of the first, as I think the first one developed the characters a lot more, but great to see the expanding MCU crossing over and making more of the wide range of characters and story lines available.

Action from start to finish and Ultron was awesome.

I have to say, though - as a fan of The Blacklist, I felt that Ultron was very much Ray Reddington in chrome....not a bad thing, by the way.

Yes. I watched Blacklist last night (will SOMEONE please just shoot Tom and put him out of my misery?) and kept expecting Red to start flying...

And I expected Ultron to don a Fedora and have Dembe drive him somewhere!

I agree with you about Tom...he needs to go. PLEASE just get it over with and move onto other things...it's getting like Twilight now...all that angst.

Age Of Ultron 7/10.

Seemed to lack something, I cant put my finger on it but there was just something missing.

Ultron wasn't as menacing as I thought he was going to be, they tried too hard to make it funny, the final fight just seemed a carbon copy of the first movie. I was never like "wow" like I was during the first movie.

However it is not all bad. I thought the "Truck chase scene" was the best in the movie.

I definitely prefer the first movie though.

I think they spend far too much time worrying about the emotional state of the characters etc - it's a Marvel comic brought to life FFS not Womens Weekly! Get out there! It's clobbering time! (to borrow from another comic).

watched the doco-movie Night Will Fall.
Most horrific images from WWII I've ever seen.

i watched it on Youtube and it was the state of the bodies and the way they just dumped them into pits that really upset me. Grim viewing.

I've watched documentaries on this topic before and that always gets me, too.
The other thing is how someone could treat a person like this in the first place.

When I was about eleven years or twelve years old my girlfriend was babysitting at a home and I visited her. There was a tied up puppy outside crying, it had a frozen slab of ice under it (winter in Canada). I insisted my freind bring it in and she did but she had been told not to and dip isn't want to get into trouble and shortly put it back outside again.

I didn't know what to do. I found out later it died. I've felt bad about it ever since and I am now 48. I wish I had had the confidence to call the SPCA.

I can't imagine treating a person so badly.
