Behodar:

Isn't Warehouse the one that has a data-only plan offering?!

No big deal. If someone got a data plan only and uses that number for account verification, it's not the merchant's fault.

Not that I could find.  You can add data packs to your existing plan, but there's no data-only AFAIK.

They seem to have rearranged the site a bit. Last month it explicitly stated that "packs" did not require an active "combo", but I can't find that statement any more.

Edit: It's still there

For years I've had my iPad and iPhone set up with only five widgets. Four of these were personalised from different (but related) apps and between them they summarised the full current story of an area of interest to me (stock markets, portfolio and prices etc).

Following iOS 18, two of the four apps no longer have widgets - so I no longer have the full story in one place. One step forward, two steps back. Maybe the widgets will come back if the devs update their apps - who knows - but in the meantime it's really disappointing and annoying.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

FineWine:

Handsomedan: New electric car suddenly stopped recognising my iPhone and wouldn’t enable Apple CarPlay.

This despite it working just a few hours ago.

Multiple Google searches later I found a Reddit post that helped me to reset my car entertainment system and re-enable CarPlay.

Because this is a geek forum can you enlighten us on the car and the method used to re-initiate the entertainment system please.

BYD Atto3 - it has a wireless charging pad which the phone lays on and connects wirelessly to Apple CarPlay.

In order to reset the system, I had to hold down the manual on/off/volume roller/button on the centre console for a few seconds, until the screen went blank and restarted from scratch - soft-reset of the Android Tablet, I assume.

After that, I had to re-pair the iPhone using the usual steps for establishing a handshake and pairing of the handset to the system (which is pretty easy and only takes about 6-10 attempts).

I do wonder if Android Auto would be better as it's an Android tablet as an entertainment system/screen.

Edit: Pic for clarity

thank you. Your instructions were properly easier to understand than any handbook. 🤝👍

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

Discord is currently down, and apparently the average Reddit user's thought process is "I can't get into Discord, so I'm going to make a Reddit thread about it, and I've already made my mind up about that, and I'm going to do it regardless of how many existing threads there are."

They'll be the same users that post in YouTube comments asking or answering a question that has already appeared 100s of times.

Not really a significant number here.

This is definitely a music fossil annoyance, but I've found acapella songs on Youtube that use autotune.

I know there's no rules but I'd rather rather an actual slightly off-key performance.

I've heard many people can't really hear autotuning, but I hear the flattened natural vibrato, making the voice sound more mechanical.

Here's an example of awful auto-tuning

And a very good version (sung in an obvious accent)

There would be approximately $0.10 worth of gold here... Why ruin a good reputation ?

Gold! for recovery

Gold !! Computer chips and cards with Gold content, for recovery purposes. For what it's worth, the gross weight of the components pictured is 3.9 oz. Read into that what you will. Request specific photos if required.

The gold in 3.9 ounces of DIMM modules is worth approximately NZD $5

(0.5 grams of gold per kilogram of RAM)

So yeah $30.50 including shipping is ridiculous

The seller might not even want to sell it. It is the eye-catching headline, which will bring people who will see their other listings.
