School Holidays.

I mostly WFH - as it's school holidays, I now have my wife home for a couple of weeks - she seems to think it's perfectly OK to interupt my day, ask me to do things, maybe go for a nice walk or a cuppa somewhere.
I'm not on holiday - I am working. Like normal. I have a routine. I do multiple meetings a day. I have a lot of phone calls. I don't just sit here on Geekzone.

It would be a wealthy neighbourhood to have a copper tank just sitting in a skip.

You can look at the anode in the failed tank to see if it was used up or not.

What's that line from the Tui ad?

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Yeah some idiot uploaders just tick midroll ads and leave them to be, rather than putting them in sensible places.

As bad as it sounds, the presence of family members at home during work hours is the main reason I do not WFH regularly.

Friend has this issue with his partner who has never worked a proper job in her life and is now at home. She will just start talking about crap when he is on a meeting. The kids are even better behaved.

I mostly WFH. My wife works part time. If she’s at work she just txts the requests to me. There’s no escape.

Mother Neb used to do this too many years ago, the sight of us sitting there doing school homework seemed to be an on-switch for a neverending stream of interruptions with pointless questions and random comments, repeated more and more insistently if we tried to ignore them.

johno1234:

Older HWC's have the inner vessel made out of copper - if you ever see one in a skip you can cut off the outer galv cover and the mucky insulation and save the copper inner to repurpose into something interesting.

It's always good to to repurpose them into beers via the scrappy.

I was thinking of making a still or brew vessel out of one. Unfortunately I was unable to obtain a round tuit so the project never eventuated.

Aliexpress' perpetual misleading "deals" where the price changes once you log in to buy it.  Here's an example, before login at top, after login at the bottom:
