Hi Everyone, its been years since I posted here on Geekzone. How is everyone? I don't remember any of you ether, but oh well im back for this thread, and Oh boy what a massive thread it is.

Long story short, I've recently had, just over %25 of the parcels I ordered from Aliexpress undelivered, that's 10 items to be precise, and im currently working through getting each one refunded using the dispute process.

Most of my parcels where "shipped" using CAINIAO / Yanwen I'm honestly starting to believe that these tracking numbers are simply fakes. All of my failed items where ordered on different days, yet the tracking on all these items say they arrived in the country on 2020-09-02 and of cause NZ post has no such records of these parcels arriving. When a parcel does actually arrive in the country NZ post never fails to deliver it, within 3 days to a week and for that I applaud them.

I'm on board with saying things have become much worse in regards to not receiving items ordered from aliexpress, in-fact I've recently started ordering things that are not sold locally in New Zealand, from amazon, sigh, yeah and its 3x the price.

My guess on whats happening is that alot of overseas people are simply taking advantage of the current situation, its everything from suppliers scamming sellers, to sellers simply being dishonest, by not shipping the item at all. Sometimes they will charge you extra to ship with a known reliable shipping company, then ship it with Yawen instead along with a fake tracking number. The whole thing is turning into a gargantuan mess.

Happy to share my personal experience and add to this thread.

Edit 'One more thing i forgot to add, all of these failed parcels had tracking numbers that actually expired before the buyer protection was up'.

A few pages back someone suggested that some carriers, e.g. the ones you mentioned, simply don't have a way to get things transferred to New Zealand. Get them refunded and stop expecting them to come is a good mindset.

And Amazon is great, even the economy shipping generally comes 10 days faster than the ETA. Extra money (compare with Ali) for express shipping worth it. Although there last mile carrier, Aramax, isn't very good...

It's not surprising that you state the Aramex isn't much good. This is the courier company formerly known as "Fastway" and their service did not match their name then either.

I bought a small item from an online store in Christchurch. It arrived in Auckland two days later - I thought "Excellent, it'll be here tomorrow!".

Two weeks and three calls to their "Customer Service" later (where I was invariably told "Oh, it's out for delivery") and it was finally left in my letterbox...

Lesson learned - ask who they use for delivery before placing the order!

We have had very hit and miss periods with Aramex over a long time using them, but they are much better than they were and were head and shoulders above the other courier companies we deal with and get deliveries from commercially over Covid and since.

Courierpost are the worst right now in our experience.

Two arrivals today, both via Yanwen. One dispatched 13/10 the other 24/10.

Hi everyone, Im back again, second post this year, im on a roll here. While on my search online to find out whats happening I found a video on youtube titled 'Where Are Your Lost Ali Express Parcels? | Mini Documentary'

Its a long video but ive timestamped this position, https://youtu.be/H_K2zS0BDG8?t=421 so you can see the large bags filled with parcels from all around the world, being sold at this store. Feel free to watch over the entire video for more context, there is also this short DailyTimes Article about it. https://dailytimes.com.pk/299404/the-truth-about-lost-aliexpress-packages-being-sold-in-islamabad/

I knew all the lost parcels had to be going somewhere, and as expected there is a market for them.

I had a China Post Registered Mail package shipped on 29 October arrive this week.

Still haven’t seen two packages shipped with Cainiao Super Economy Global at the start of August. Both have been disputed and refunded.

Currently waiting on 4 packages all shipped with AliExpress Standard Shipping (there was no other option available) that were shipped on 17 Oct, 22 Oct, 1 Nov and 24 Nov. I’m not holding out much hope that any of them will arrive before Christmas.

You might be lucky, the one I ordered on 15/10 was AliExpress Standard Shipping.

I ordered a bunch of stuff on the 7th Oct and have received 4 of 12 parcels so far, no point stressing it is what it is, global shipping is a clusterf$%k right now, it will most likely come just a few weeks later than expected... I used the AliExpress standard shipping option in most cases

yet Banggood has no problem delivering parcels from China, i have ordered 3 things from Banggood and all have arrived within a week, so it might be a good idea to pay a little more and go with Banggood if you want something for Xmas.

Common sense is not as common as you think.
