My server was recently clamed to use as a TV Centre for watching Freeview HD. If I don't win this, I'll be suffering with an old Dell desktop for use as a server (having been turfed out for watching TV on).
Server? The only server at home is me - and only when we have guests and I bring the plates to the table. A server would be great, allowing me to sort out the various external USB HDDs and are unplugged and replugged to sync files between the PC and the laptop and the notebook. And - finally - set up a media server!
I'd really enjoy this as it's my desktop the is currently the server on our home network, so nobody can get anything unless I'm home and logged in! (which includes MediaPortal TV)
Too embarrassed to post a photo - my desk area is real messy. Dell desktop. I would like to win this as the smaller footprint will allow some of my deskspace to be reclaimed.

Like many others, I have no home server. Something like this would be absolutely ideal for me and the media-centric network I have. (linked pic a touch out of date now I have an SGS II and Uniden R035BT)
A major benefit I see is that I'd be able to have this handling all my media and I'd have plenty of fun trying to work out how to plug my spare freeview box into it (on top of the one I currently use) and control it remotely :-P
My current 'server' is a Welland ME-747ANS NAS drive enclosure, and it is a piece of junk! It is very slow when it does work, but often gives up during copying of large files. I have had to disable the extra functions on it to make it a bit less unstable. A proper mini server would be great because in addition to NAS functions, I could then use it to record IP security camera footage, use it as a print server.
