I'm shopping for gadgets, not a Taylor Swift concert ticket.

They do this crap and the countdowns when things are in your cart to pressure you to buying quickly before you do price comparisons etc to see what you really should be paying.

Almost every time I have thought about getting something from PB recently, I have gone and checked amazon, new egg and others that will ship here and found a better price for the thing.

I used to have price 3 with PB tech and that made sweet F all difference to the prices and they assured me it was the best price possible.

As Trump's press secretary, Sanders was the spokesperson for the Trump administration's policy decisions, and had a confrontational relationship with the White House press corps

Esquire: Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders Did Not Enjoy the Eclipse

She declared a 14-day emergency for a 30-minute event. Huh?
...
My advice to the governor's staff is to check on the condition of that $19,000 podium that Sanders bought. I consider the possibility that she cut up a goat to appease Apollo to be nonzero.

Looks like PB Tech recognized that their overzealous dogpile solution meant they lost a bunch of sales from people like me who weren't among the 5 people that managed to get on their website. It was nearly 10pm before I could and by then, I'd completely lost interest...

VIP Shopping Night

It took me 30 minutes to find a nice pair of case fans - total saving $6.74 = cost of delivery  🙂

VIP Shopping Night 2  - The Sequel

Much quicker - I checked "my" fans, but they were no longer discounted.  😕

I know it has been covered somewhere on here but anyway. My Lotto doesn't support Firefox but I found out on Supported devices and browsers | Lotto NZ | Lotto New Zealand (mylotto.co.nz) this little tidbit. Excellent, I thought:

So anyway, fired up Firefox 68 and...

I hate sites that pull this shit.

Have there already been claims for damages in court for not having warned them in advance?

Channel 3 has "seven days" on again. This story was mentioned. QV: $1,940,000

It looks nice, but it was the last place I’d ever live! I'm sure I wouldn't a ghost have of a chance of a good night's sleep! I think it's a grave investment!

OneRoof: Could you live in a funeral home? Homestead that has farewelled thousands up for grabs

One of Tauranga’s oldest homes, which for decades has welcomed thousands of mourners through the doors of its chapel as they farewell their nearest and dearest, has hit the market for sale.

Legacy Funerals is selling the almost 140-year-old heritage-protected property at 167 Grange Road, in Otumoetai, and its future now lies largely in the hands of the next owner who could transform it back into an expansive character home or run a business from the enormous grounds.
...
It sits on an elevated position with views out to Waikareao Estuary and Tauranga CBD and at 2271sqm is, according to Bayleys listing agent Craig Sandlant, the biggest section in Otumoetai. Sections in the suburb usually range from 600sqm to 800sqm.

The problem is that ever since Mozilla doomed Firefox to being an also-ran browser, lots of sites just aren't built with it in mind any more because of its negligible market share. For example with Outlook 365 or whatever it's called now, as of a few weeks ago under Firefox downloading attachments doesn't work any more and the site will randomly sign you out requiring you to go through the tedious login process again to get back in. And that's alongside a bunch of lesser Firefox-only glitches that have been in there for ages.

The same site with Chrome or Edge works just fine. "Works with Firefox" often means "Worked at one point with Firefox, we assume it's still mostly OK now but haven't bothered to check".
