SepticSceptic: In.my car, the audio volume control goes from 0 to 75.
You see, most blokes, you know, will be playing at ten. You're on ten here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, you're on ten on your guitar. Where can you go from there? Where? What we do is, if we need that extra push over the cliff, you know what we do? Put it up to 75.

SepticSceptic: Quoting the Sex Pistols, "Can we have everything louder than everything else?"
I believe that was Motörhead, who were quoting Deep Purple.
invisibleman18: Putting a powerbank in my checked bag by mistake. Was in a backpack I used as carryon on the flight to to Auckland but for the flight home last night I rearranged my luggage and put the backpack in the checked bag, unfortunately forgetting about the powerbank. So when I collected the bag at the other end it had been opened and powrbank disposed of. Annoying they can't hold things for a few days to be retrieved but my own mistake. Didn't even use it so shouldn't have packed it to start with.
I wondered what happened if this occurred in NZ. Recently in Singapore, Thailand and Taiwan after you checked in you watched a monitor nearby that showed your bag passing through the x-ray screening, and if you saw it come out the other side it had passed, if not it is returned to you to remove the items causing issue.

Bird poo on the washing.
Bloody sparrows like roosting in the frame of our retractable awning at night and crap everywhere. It’s been a battle of wits. I have put some netting up there but they still find a way to get in.
So for the past few weeks, at dusk I move the awning with the remote and they get a fright and fly away. If I do it at the right time of evening, they don’t come back that night. They must find somewhere else to sleep. Birds are smart so I’m hoping they’ll learn to avoid the awning. It seems that the frequency of recurrence is reducing.
Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
My car looks like a guono mine. It eats into the paint and sticks to the windows. An open garage in the country is not a good thing.

Bird poo on the washing.
For that purpose I use a clotheshorse in conjunction with a dehumidifier.

"Create a society that values material things above all else. Strip it of industry. Raise taxes for the poor and reduce them for the rich and for corporations. Prop up failed financial institutions with public money. Ask for more tax, while vastly reducing public services. Put adverts everywhere, regardless of people's ability to afford the things they advertise. Allow the cost of food and housing to eclipse people's ability to pay for them. Light blue touch paper." — Andrew Maxwell
invisibleman18: Emailed Aviation Security on the off chance the powerbank might still be available to retrieve. Figured nothing to lose. They said once removed the item becomes the responsibility of the airline so contact them. Emailed the airline and they replied back with the spiel about why some bags get opened and said contact Aviation Security for more info.
Did you have to fill out a copy of Permit A38 to get it back?
