JaseNZ:
Can't beat the poms for their crime drama's.
True. But I still really like some of the American stuff. Recently bought box sets of the original Law & Order and Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Only managed the grand total of one episode so far, but just as good as I remember it.

Law & Order: UK - is also an excellent series with Bradley Walsh. Watched all 54 episodes last year. I can not seem to track it down now. I think it was on LightBox pre Neon.
Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.
Yep, got those as well. Its on that free IMDB service if your looking.
Law & Order US and Criminal Intent are 456 and 195 episodes, so that should keep me quite for a decade or two...

I feel compelled to say I enjoyed The Wire, muchly.

We are currently (re)watching the original Law and Order. Lenny is the best and funny detective ever and I love it when MCoy gets beaten hahahaha.
I used to love watching the Bill that was awesome.
Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding : Ice cream man , Ice cream man
gzt: The Mandalorian. S2 is bigger and better than S1.
I'm finding T.M overall to be a fight the monster / fight the baddie kind of thing with little depth. The cameos are entertaining. It has a cartoon humour feel in S2.
The dots join up as the season goes on.
Just binge watched For All Mankind on AppleTV+, I thought it was really great
I'm three-quarters through For All Mankind S2. Strangely I find it better than season 1, which felt like a depressive view of America's injured ego, and I didn't really enjoy many of the characters. But seeing how the storylines have flowed through into S2, especially with the time jump, has been interesting. I spent a few mins last week watching the little snippets on Apple TV that covered each of the years of the time jump, mostly as news reports. It helps to add a little context, especially if the catch up in episode 1 is a bit of a blur.
I watched The Masked Singer last night and found it hilarious. I have been missing quality television like this since Dancing With the Stars and Married at First Sight were cancelled last year.
I am finding it really hard to guess who the singers are, but I am quite convinced that the tuatara is Don Brash.
I am looking forward to orange roughy versus pavlova tonight.
I just watched Episode 1 of Jupiter's Legacy on Netflix NZ.
It's a grown-up's superhero series (but not quite as grown up as The boys).
Basically, the next generation of superheroes are struggling to shrug off the legacy of their parents and it's a sometimes dark and violent path they take to find their place in the world.
I enjoyed it. I will continue with the series, I think.

Thanks to those who suggested "Call my Agent" on Netflix.
The wife and I are really enjoying this series.
It's a French series (4 seasons) about a bunch of film agents and their work.
Quite funny and also has interesting characters.
Probably could be loosely compared to/as a French version of The Office.
I am assuming most episodes have a guest appearance by a French Film star - I recognized a couple of names/faces (eg Christopher Lambert - the guy who played highlander).

All episodes have known French actors playing themselves.
Even though the story was completed with season 4, I read a couple of weeks ago a fifth season is coming and a movie is in the plans as well.
Funny thing is Léa Seydoux is mentioned in many episodes but she actually never shows up in any one.

I've watched the first 2 episodes. I'm not fully onboard yet, but I'll keep watching. The biggest problem is the aging makeup required for many of the characters that looks pretty fake. The worst one is the black guy in the wheelchair who has an adult daughter but still looks to be in his twenties himself (other than grey hair), and the main guys beard is pretty awful too.
I'm interested to see how the back-story is fleshed out, as I think that will end up being more interesting the present day "passing of the torch" story.
