And that's the thing, "Fork" is rather unimaginative while Firetruck is creative and a bit silly, which is why it gets my vote.

I know it has been covered somewhere on here but anyway. My Lotto doesn't support Firefox but I found out on Supported devices and browsers | Lotto NZ | Lotto New Zealand (mylotto.co.nz) this little tidbit. Excellent, I thought:

So anyway, fired up Firefox 68 and...

I hate sites that pull this shit.

Found a user agent modifier plugin.

Mylotto now works with Firefox
Stuffed if I'm launching Chrome or Edge.

And MyLotto logins don't support email address modifiers like +, etc

But they used to, and I'm sure I've got a few $$ tucked away in that account.

Statue to Tony Blair honours "Tonibler" cult in Kosovo

According to the national statistics office, more than 10 people are named Tonibler, Toni or Bler - the spellings altered to fit local pronunciations.

Bashkim Fazliu, the head of the Foundation "We Remember Tony Blair" who commissioned the statue to the former British prime minister, has invited him to the inauguration but said he had not yet received confirmation that he will attend.

In the garden, one of the neighbours 80m away. Luckily it was in good condition and the detonator could be defused on site.

We then went for a two-hour walk around the Alster (city centre lake) with Skipper. The defusing has to be paid for by the "lucky" finder aka the owner of the property. In complicated cases, this can be as much as €200,000.

I'm not sure of the wisdom of that sort of policy.  Someone would be tempted to move it themselves to avoid an unexpected expense that may blow out to tens or hundreds of thousands.

Honestly? Nobody here would actually come up with such an idea, not even the most hardened, shirt-sleeved cheapskate, because the consequences would simply be fatal. It's a 250-lb aerial bomb, not a Chinese firecracker. Some still have dangerous chemical detonators today. The civilian explosive ordnance disposal service has allied aerial photographs and has been part of everyday life here for decades.

But we don't have a Hamburg Man ... at least not yet. 😉

About once a month, there is a loud rumble over the city when yet another complicated bomb has to be detonated rather than defused. This is announced in advance on the radio and Internet and the citizens concerned are evacuated by the authorities.

You've got your southerners though, anyone with expressions like "basst sho afs grobste" (approx. "she'll be right") shouldn't be trusted around an unexploded bomb.

„A few“ of the approximately 107,000 British and American aerial bombs dropped over Hamburg are still buried underground. The dud rate is 10-20%, i.e. 10,000-20,000 bombs). According to estimates by the Hamburg fire brigade, around 2,900 more aerial bombs from the Second World War could still be buried in the city. This means that it will probably take around 170 years before all the World War II bombs have been removed. The bomb disposal service defuses 10 to 20 unexploded bombs per year.

If you buy a property here, you are well advised to include the phrase "free of contaminated sites" in the contract. Proof or the removal of the "contaminated site" is then legally binding on the seller. Before a plot of land can be built on, the entire subsoil must be searched closely with special drills and probes and the report submitted to the authorities.

Not even reported in the news, that I can find.

Is it a non-event, just like mass shootings in the US?
