I read this post in the smile thread, and thought they sound quite good, might be worth a look.

The lights do look good, and there are even a couple I would like to buy for our house - and that's where the "annoy" comes in.

"We take a unique approach to lighting - we put the power back into your hands" except they only sell to electricians, and don't provide a list of those that they do sell to.

Doesn't seem like "the power is in my hands" at all.

I've noticed in a few replies I've made that I get the error message, "too many quotes" or something to that effect. So I typically have to remove some of the /quote tags before the reply works.

"I regret to say that we of the F.B.I. are powerless to act in cases of oral-genital intimacy, unless it has in some way obstructed interstate commerce." — J. Edgar Hoover

"Create a society that values material things above all else. Strip it of industry. Raise taxes for the poor and reduce them for the rich and for corporations. Prop up failed financial institutions with public money. Ask for more tax, while vastly reducing public services. Put adverts everywhere, regardless of people's ability to afford the things they advertise. Allow the cost of food and housing to eclipse people's ability to pay for them. Light blue touch paper." — Andrew Maxwell

You are probably quoting someone in who is a trusted users, id verified users; who can quote more than you as you are only a user and allowed 2 quotes.

Computer generated voices on YouTube. I hate them. I want to live long enough to see live TV again. I know it’s early days but I cringe when they get it so wrong as in the above. Rant over.  😀

Pervasive marketing speak. A service that I use is currently down. It's offline. It doesn't work. But their status page doesn't admit that, and just says it's "degraded".

...and now I'm wondering why we need fruit infused/flavoured/scented dishwasher tablets???

Sometimes I use big words I don't always fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.

freitasm: Shrinkflation

I recently switched to powder of that same brand. It seems to do the same job or 97% the same job. Cheaper, less shopping, no biodegradable microplastic wrap. Grab, tip and fill seems just as quick if not faster than reaching into the packet etc.

I tried tablets, hated them and moved back to powder. Technology Connections did a video about powder vs those over-priced tablets...

Well technically it's true.  Reminds me of the line from Top Secret:

General Streck (on phone): What is the condition of Sergeant Kruger?
General Streck (on phone): Very well, let me know if there is any change in his condition.
General Streck (after hanging up): He's dead.

I already pointed that out. Except it is more than the same price. Triple is closer.
