Somehow these trackers seem to believe that they can do whatever they want on the Internet, just like in the USA. My recursive DNS servers (I have two virtual and a h/w fallback server) are much busier. They record ~50% blocked domains within 24 hours and I already have 1.6 million domains on the blacklist without being blocked even once a day on my desired sites.

Looks like I can add another 2 million domains to be blocked, then the value will continue to rise, but all the data rubbish will stay outside the door. Digital self-defence!

Old multifunction inkjet printer died so got a new one and installed it on our W11 PC with no problems. Prints, scans, and copies perfectly.

Daughter tried to install it on her W11 laptop, but it won't install because her laptop has an ARM CPU.  Epson don't seem to have ARM drivers listed. Dr Google says this is a common problem with most printer brands.

She now just emails the file to our pc and prints from there, bit of a nuisance but works.

Having to pay for a head MRI + contrast....because the public system said NO to seeing a Neurologist (Referral sent from Doctor), but you can try for another referral later!

Doctor said that they will say NO....so here are the backup options etc.

Neurologist was $520 for the hour. (He was very thorough etc = No complaints)

That was Tuesday, already booked for the MRI next week.

Quoted MRI price of $2795.00!

Comments in threads that are supposed to be accurate, but only reveal a certain narrow-mindedness.

The need to understand the specs I require on a replacement laptop with the current one struggling with something I have to do once a week. Because of the graphics it's probably a gaming machine I need, but I also need it to be portable as I'm away from home at the one time it struggles. (Hairline cracks in the screen on the current one makes me think I'm not far from a catastropic failure.)

Replacing my work mobile phone and the cost to purchase the old one to pass to my wife is no longer atractive (used to be a $100 donation to a charity, now it's more like market value).

Take a stand! Insist on using your old phone until it's only worth $100 😋

People parking across our driveway. Just because we live close to X and you want to go to X doesn't mean we should be ok with being blocked in!

I have a friend who lives about three houses down from a park, and she has a spacious driveway/parking area that can easily accommodate half a dozen cars (but clearly part of her property). I was visiting once and there was some sort of event on at the park, with cars everywhere. I pulled into her driveway and parked there, and I wondered whether another driver would go "if it's OK for him then it's OK for me" and pull in behind me... but it didn't happen.

To be fair, it could probably last another 3-5 years. I may just stick it out - I don't use it a massive amount - I tend to use Teams these days for most communication.
