Tinkerisk:

My favourite word in all languages is: circumnavigate. It has often taken effort, but it has taken me far on several levels of life without losing sight of my goals, giving up my values or even betraying others (even if they tried). I am grateful and proud of it.

Why is this under this heading? Think about it.

Nah - I’ll pass.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

The endless begging in You Tube videos.

It’s unattractive and very needy.

Ive been watching YT on one of our TVs not signed in. I still get recommendations according to what I’ve watched just as I do on the signed in TV. So far no nagging to try premium and only very occasionally a suggestion to get better choices by signing in. Left it unsigned. Only downside is not being able to save.

I thought @Geektastic was referring to YT posters asking people to subscribe and/or stump up cash via Patreon etc - not so much nagging by YT itself.

Both are equally whinge-worthy.

Sometimes I use big words I don't always fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.

That stuff doesn't worry me on YouTube, it is their livelihood after all. What does annoy me is YouTubers that constantly talk about their morals but they continue to take sponsorship money known dodgy companies (Better Help, AG1 etc....)

You forgot the obligatory first word: Wazzup.

 Yes. That.

The algorithm forces them all to do and say the same things. It’s like watching performing seals in the circus.

Not to forget: “Go right ahead and do this, then go right ahead and do that, then go right ahead and do something else …” Ad nauseam.

One of my favourite channels has now taken to selling "premium memberships" to their channel.

Depending on how much you pay, you get to have custom emojis on your comments and also the exciting prospect of getting badges next to your user name!

Its a very low effort required way to set up support for your channel, and people like it as it shows they are contributing when they interact on it. The ones I talk to say that CPM is way way down at the moment so they are getting stuff all from the ad's, and that even premium members are paying more of the share than ever before despite being a minority of viewers.
