Got this pointless clock thing

OK, you win the prize for finding the most pointless and annoying electronic bling on Aliexpress.

And yet I MUST HAVE IT xD

I'd like to post about something arriving (okay, bolts, nuts and PoE extenders aren't interesting), but after worrying about my package being shipped by slow post, it was combined with other orders and shipped via AliExpress Standard Shipping. Now it's listed as "Failed to clear at import customs".

Hopefully that's just AliExpress speak for pending MPI checks. Do MPI not work on long weekends?

I guess it will work itself out. If not, it looks like I'm back to wondering if it'll be here by the time I need it or if I'll have to place another order.

Replacement shower hose: a little on the lightweight side but it was 1/3 the price of Bunnings and it arrived to my rural address in record time: 6 days!

Got two of these - $15 including shipping, arrived in a week.

Works just fine to replace RIB gate controls, locally priced at $99 each!

Probs way late, but often Ali used NZ Post as there last mile courier. Try sticking the tracking number in NZ Posts tracking site, often it works, and will give me details on the MPI issue. (usually, as you say, it solves itself in a few days)

Anyway, this is what I got today;

Ali has this weird 3+ 1.99USD~ each thing going on, found some decent branded stuff in there at an ok price. Most of there offers are trash though. But shipping was fast (ordered 28th Oct).

Oh, $22 for the lot, landed.

The tracking only said MPI needed more info, so I submitted it despite the fact it almost certainly wasn't necessary. Turned up about a week late.

The seller probably incorrectly listed what was in your parcel, and something triggered MPI and thus weren't sure what was in it.

They do $1.79 for the first 3 days of the month.

I have noticed that many of the things that are 3.99 US are actually cheaper in the normal choice store. Its all quite difficult sometimes on there.

I had a Ryzen 3900 turn up over the weekend. I had the motherboard with a 2600 in it so it was a cheapish (NZ$285) upgrade for the Unraid server to have plent of cores/threads to play around with more VMs.

I've got a orphaned 2600 now but what to do?

I have the dreaded yellow card in the PO Box so it will be a saturday morning trip up to it to see whats too big for the parcel lockers or if its just too much stuff.

Mine has mainly been more of the US$1.99-3.99 type things that you get up to 10 of per order. Lots of tuya bluetooth lightbulbs as that plus the gateway works around the device limit in one house in tuya. But although they all show the same in the app, the different vendors lamps are very different for brightness and RGB matching so I will have to figure out which was what (kept the boxes and lamps together from the last lot) and get more so that I can have matching ones in the same fittings.
