Could be one for the brain-dead software thread too; but:

Why do I need TWO annoying semi-permanent notifications warning me messenger is currently active? One, the top one, I can (and have) just turned off; but the bottom one is unremovable and can't be disabled because of "reasons".

I know it's displaying over the top of other apps - I specifically went out of my way to enable that option in the software, and I don't need to be warned that the software is doing what I asked and allowed it to do - stupid OTT and unhelpful, IMO.

Eva888:

gzt: Apps and websites that hijack links and make them open in the app. Especially annoying when the app is slow. If I wanted to look in the app I'd open the app..

Most annoying one is The Warehouse. You do a Google search, see something in TW, click on it and sure enough the App opens in the browser but which immediately reverts to the App. This means I need to turn the tablet to portrait which I hate. Fine on a phone but not on a tablet.

Android seems to be more brutal with this.  iOS devices seem to stay in Safari more and instead offer a button to open the app.  Facebook for example, tapping the Messnger button will display an error message page without jumping you to the app

Someone I've previously "yelled at" for cropping the URL bar and clock out of support tickets has now sent me something with the entirety of the page cropped out except for a 200x200 section. Do you want support or not?

I attended an all-day conference at The Cloud on Auckland's waterfront.
It was about 6deg C when I arrived and might have reached about 9deg by the time I gave up on it 3 hours later.

What a terrible venue for a large-format conference/seminar. Large, echo-ey, cold, draughty, uncomfortable.

Ahaha this forum isn't big enough for support related complaints.  You got a fault ticketed and a screenshot?!  LUXURY

Booking a courier with a 2-3 day delivery time from North to South Island delivery.
Checking the tracking the next day to see the expected delivery date is in 6 days time.

I might as well have sent it by post. It also would have cost significantly less than the courier, if I had done so.

Post will have them just leave it at the side of the road in the letterbox because that is all they have to do for post.

Technically all the aliexpress and temu stuff that gets handed on to post not courier which is why they get away with roadside abandonment of the small things.

I hate flying Qantas but despite picking one of their most modern craft, no wifi on board. Sigh.

I was just having a walk in the bush. I rounded a sharp corner... and almost got bowled over by someone on a bike. This was about 10 metres past the "no bikes" sign (i.e. 10m into the no-bike zone).

Reminds me of going to an off leash dog park and having a father with his three year old bail me up and shout at me about having my uncontrolled German Shepherd running around, when my dog could have attacked his daughter.

He poked me in the chest multiple times during this time asking how is he supposed to know he can trust my dog not to attack him.

I gently reminded him he had assaulted me 3 times and still had his arm, but I wasn't going to tolerate a 4th time.

He turned around in a huff and found his 3 year old rolling around on the ground with Thunder, having a whale of a time.

Some people are just...

"Bare minimum" attribution. I read an article on site A, and it was light on details, but had "Source: Site B" at the bottom. I clicked on that and it took me to the same article on site C. That one also had "Source: Site B", with a link going to site B's homepage instead of to the article. Hopeless.

Pneumonia. It’s not really a small thing, but it sure has annoyed me the last couple of weeks!

This annoys me and and it's my fault. Subscriptions. Now that I am back in the living I decided to review my subscriptions. It is scary how they grow in number by stealth. There are some that we have not used in a long time but still paying. The cost per month was a shock.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

You've had a rough time for a while now. Rest and nurture it because it can easily take a worse turn. All treats are permissible.

TVNZ self advertising in gaps in the 6pm news. A stationary image of other shows with irritating rinkidinky organ music. Can be skipped over with fast forward.
