My left eye not settling down after having a cataract done about 5 years ago. Back on drops again to clear up inflammation.
Right eye has been perfect with no problems after it was done.
Phone spam. Got the same number twice in a few days (+64-9-886-7059), and the usual reverse number lookups have drawn a blank.

"Create a society that values material things above all else. Strip it of industry. Raise taxes for the poor and reduce them for the rich and for corporations. Prop up failed financial institutions with public money. Ask for more tax, while vastly reducing public services. Put adverts everywhere, regardless of people's ability to afford the things they advertise. Allow the cost of food and housing to eclipse people's ability to pay for them. Light blue touch paper." — Andrew Maxwell
It would be nice if at least one of the phone companies made an attempt to block obvious spam calls (like the ones that supposedly come from unallocated country codes) instead of doing the whole "we like interconnect revenue" thing.
The number I got is definitely an Auckland-based number, so it's probably a telemarketer or suchlike.

I got a "wellington" number. Since I'm expecting a call and it looked like the possible range of who I was expecting I answered.
Apparently "Wellington Corporation" was wanting to talk to me about some online trading I was doing.
My reply was "There's no such company and you are a f****** scammer so f**** off"
Surprisingly, they did just that. Confirmed my accusation really.

Number spoofing is a thing. I get calls supposedly from all sorts of places but inevitably the caller speaks with an Indian accent.

Ordering a $125 mobile unit for next to my desk (home office) from Mighty Ape.
Not only did I not get any shipping info, but I also received a "fully assembled (just needs the wheels and handles attached)" unit that looks like this:
I can't for the life of me think what I could possibly use this for in it's current (brand new) state, and I can't just put it in the recycling bin as it's too big.
I am not going to pay to dispose of it somewhere.
Shouldn't this be on them to pick up and dispose of? Very annoying and has put me off ever buying from Mighty Ape again

Further to this - I have received a response from Mighty Ape that they are sorry that I had a poor experience with said item and they are processing a refund for me which will take a few days.
What's annoying is they do not want me to return this piece of tat.
Obviously, it's too hard to dispose of, so they want me to do it for them!

Got a metal recycler nearby? They'll pay you (a small amount) to take it off your hands.
But yes, it should be on MA to deal with the disposal.

I was looking at getting one of those drawers when they were on sale. If not damaged by the courier, would you say they are any good? Like do the drawers slide well or do they bind up unless you push it totally square?
The drawers don't have any kind of mechanism. The drawers have a small lip, which sits on a small slider that is clipped into the side of the cabinet. It requires absolute precision in manufacturing to work and if there is any kind of deviation in size/movement the drawers will simply fall off the lip and you'll see what I have posted.
The reason those drawers fell out was because the tolerances are so minute that the drawers have nothing to run on/sit on.
I'd avoid buying any of these types of drawer sets from MA. If they have a version with runners or wheels - that may be a different prospect.
