Auckland Council makes it easy to post a parking issue. Take photo, upload.

Twice now . Though new neighbours now, doing same again.

Time for another parking swoop.

That’s interesting to know. Are they good at following up on these?

I can't comment on Auckland but in Wellington they are generally pretty responsive, albeit with some variability between suburbs.

They really should be doing proactive patrols in the suburbs as they do in the CBD. Relying on reports from the public is not particularly effective because often the offending vehicle is gone by the time the wardens show up. There are enough illegally parked cars in my neighbourhood that the fines would probably cover the cost of a regular patrol.

gzt: Standard PC plan price increase additional $7.40:

Here's your current plan
PC Game Pass
Your subscription price is changing from $16.95 to $24.45

At the moment my subscription is used only for kids Minecraft and Among Us, and occasional looks at other games. Now it has my attention I see no reason to keep it. I'll go buy Minecraft off the shelf.

Yeah my son plays FIFA (or whatever it's called these days) very occasionally.
It's not worth keeping even at the old price.

I have still not got any email from them at all about the price change. If it goes up and I dont get an email I will probably complain about it because it was barely worth it at the old price since I only ever use the xbox as my desktop is a potato now, and I barely have time on it to play anything except youtube.

The latest change of ownership looks suspect. In more ways than one.

"Create a society that values material things above all else. Strip it of industry. Raise taxes for the poor and reduce them for the rich and for corporations. Prop up failed financial institutions with public money. Ask for more tax, while vastly reducing public services. Put adverts everywhere, regardless of people's ability to afford the things they advertise. Allow the cost of food and housing to eclipse people's ability to pay for them. Light blue touch paper." — Andrew Maxwell

Usually within the hour, or 2. That's during weekday evenings.

Just don't be obvious taking photos of the number plates.  Because...

Watching one of the "Terror at 30,000 Feet" episodes and being continually annoyed as the footage switched from 16 x 9 to 16 x 10 multiple times all the way through.

That programmes like "Terror at 30,000 Feet" are full of hyperbole creating unnecessry fear and anxiety for the average traveller.

I disagree. While I haven't watched that particular show, I did watch lots of Air Crash Investigations and similar shows and found them to be very informative. There's nothing to worry about, until there is.

Ten or so years ago I'd have agreed with you with respect to Air Crash Investigation style shows. They were informative. Nowadays most of these shows are hyped up click bait garbage which repeat themselves two or three times during the duration of the episode.

I like to watch them and they don't put me off flying at all. Maybe they are superficial to aviation experts but they fill an hour for me and I find them interesting.

It annoys me that they are an hour long - I feel like the constant retelling of the story, recapping etc could be binned and it would be a 30min show full of clear and concise information.

Haven't watched that show but I dislike intensely shows that do this. It's as if they're catering for an audience with ultra-short attention spans or who are idiots - or for people who have joined the show after it's been running for 15/30/45 mins. Or it could just be shameless padding. Very annoying.
