Spectre: 7.5/10

Good movie but probably not as high as Casino Royale and Skyfall. The story is ok, but even though long, it seems the chase is actually short. What I mean is that Blofeld should have had short appearances in previous movies. Bond was good, Blofeld was great.

Next: 6.5/10

A magician (Nicholas Cage) can see his future - two minutes ahead, and only his. Interesting action (almost like a dance), the main actresses a bit down but good premise. No surprise as Lee Tamahori was the director.

Well, I have recently watched Hitman Agent 47 and believe me I loved this freaking movie. I'm a huge fan of hitman games, played all of those multiple times, and I hated the way Hitman was portrayed in the previous movie. However, the new one is a lot better, not as good as the game itself, but still it is amazing.

Got the Star Wars digital set on Amazon Instant Video (Star Wars Digital Movie Collection) and watched the first one tonight (Star Wars The Phantom Menace).

Seriously, who is the writer who came up with the idea that Jar Jar Binks would be a good character to have?

The story is not bad, and I agree with the average 6.5/10 score on IMDB.

A Dangerous Method 7/10

Freud and Jung invent psychoanalysis and Keira Knightley does some really good acting for a change.

"The 33". The story of the 33 Chilean miners trapped underground for a couple of months. Entertaining, not gripping, but very glad I watched it. 6-7/10.

Watched creed last night.

Have never seen the rocky movies, and I am not a fan of Boxing movies (only went because it was for my sisters birthday) got to say I actually enjoyed it!
It's got laughters and I was teary eyed, will not say why because you NEED to see it! This is one boxing movie I would actually watch again! It is about Adonis Johnson (His actual name is Adonis Creed) But wants to enter the boxing ring and build up his own reputation instead of his fathers reputation, self taught boxer, never been taught boxing in his life, and wants someone to teach him boxing, that is as far as I will go, if you want to know more you have to watch the movie

Was it the same person who came up with Skids and Mudflap in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen?

Saw a tweet from Sam Morgan about Cowspiracy, put it on my radar and then it popped up on Netflix so I watched it.  It is a great doco movie on food sources around the world and the effect the population has on them.

Things I now know or consider that I didn't before

1) Growing meat to eat is probably the most wasteful energy conversion system, ever.
2) The world is doomed if population growth continues at current rates (and soon) and we dont stop eating meat.
3) There is a moral conflict between organic farming and saving the environment.  They contradict each other completely.
4) Meat Agriculture production is the biggest green house producer in the world, and that makes NZ a disproportionately high polluter.

Well worth a watch 8/10.  Puts Mr Keys announcement today for 20m dollars to combat agripollution in perspective (a drop in the lake scaled initiative)

Sure. And what's the alternative? Everyone start eating salad, a known low energy source?

"The biggest thing wrong with salads is lettuce, and the biggest thing wrong with lettuce is that it’s a leafy-green waste of resources."

Sorry, had to post here, even if completely off topic. Please start a new discussion in the Health/Fitness sub-forum.

Furious 7. 8/10

Didn't expect to enjoy it, got it for 10c and was very pleasantly surprised. Some of the best action I've seen in a while. Nice tribute to Paul Walker at the end as well. Worth a watch even if you didn't enjoy the others (As I didn't really).

No one yet?  Couldn't resist although we all know the score here:

Star Wars: The Force Awakens 10/10 !!!!!

Back to the look, feel, and character of the original trilogy.  Enjoyed every second in 3D.  Daisy Ridley and John Boyega were outstanding and a great start for these characters.

Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation
