Handsomedan:

Possibly - although the fact that the legs all contact the ground at the same time when the bench is sat on would lead me to believe it's a warped top/frame, which means that a shim would be a fix where one is not strictly necessary. If you know what I mean...

But you said it was incredibly annoying - and enough to post here.

The quickfix may be equally annoying because it will likely twist it the other way when seated potentially causing unpredictable degradation over time.

gzt: If you're signed in with a Google account you can opt out of gambling ads

Thanks. I didn't know you can do that. Gambling ones are also annoying, especially one that starts with "Buckle up, Noo Zealand" in an American accent!

This one customer that keeps calling me when I’m at lunch with food in my gob. I call them back or try to arrange a call back but they’re then too busy or they call back when I’m already on another call.

Most epic phone tag game ever - two weeks now.

I wish I could block the gambling ads on YouTube. I have no idea why the algorithm would be serving that up to me.

FYi Firefox with uBlock Origin blocks all the YouTube ads on YouTube. But AFAIk not much that can be done on e.g. mobile YouTube app.

No, it doesn't. Thanks Grammarly, Woolworths and other brands to prove that the combination of Firefox with uBlock Origin is not the YouTube ad blocking miracle others think it is.

The last time I saw those ads was when i installed Firefox on a fresh machine and forgot to install uBlock origin...

I watch heaps of YouTube videos and never seen a YouTube ad on Firefox/uBlock.

However in-video ads are a different story. At least these are easy to skip.

Ugh. I've been a YouTube Premium subscriber for at least a decade (and it's various music iterations).

Oddly enough casting to sound bar at home is playing an ad before every song 😒

That you can no longer rely on the usual clothing sizes. Some companies have started to adjust their L size labels to accommodate people's tendency to have larger body sizes, so that they continue to believe they are wearing a flattering L size, when in fact it is already XL or even XXL and hangs off me like a sack. What a stupid marketing idea!

I’ve left the advertising option on GZ just to help the site. The ads were top bottom and centre but they stayed still so were pretty unobtrusive and didn’t really bother me and now and then I’d click a useful one.

Now I’ve got a floating Temu that moves up and down the page with large close up of plunging neckline advertising bras and that sits in the middle covering content as I scroll.  Clicked the i to complain to Google that 'ad covers content' so the ad then became a white floater instead and then back it comes on the next page.

Sniggers…am repeating budgie smugglers out loud so that Google hears and plunging necklines get replaced but would really like to be rid of the entire floater ad if this annoyance can be tweaked by GZ as it has now become very irritating.

Second annoyance is the bird outside. Its entire repertoire is a piercing cheu, cheu, cheu every 20 seconds all day. Am praying for some female to take pity on him and form a lasting relationship in a tree away from the window. We had guests to watch the Melbourne cup yesterday and I was too polite to say that your phone is beeping a cheu cheu sound since he was ignoring it. So today I know the real culprit.

Tinkerisk: That you can no longer rely on the usual clothing sizes.

Knowing that you're in the Eurozone, I'm surprised that is a problem, and even more surprised if that is unregulated.

My experience in NZ over time is the opposite. Old XL was huge and at least equivalent to XXL if not XXXL today. Not at all flattering.

It seems to be, but … see. 😉

„Many internationally renowned designers come from Italy or France, countries where clothing sizes differ from those commonly used in Germany. As a guideline, Italian sizes are three sizes larger than German sizes, and French sizes are one size larger. For example, a German size 38 corresponds to a size 44 in Italy and a size 40 in France. However, it is not possible to convert sizes exactly because the ratios between individual body measurements assumed by manufacturers in southern Europe differ from those in Germany (for example, for a given bust size: shorter height, narrower hips).“ (from wikipedia)

Further irritations come from:

„In August 2007, researchers commissioned by 80 companies, mainly in the clothing industry (manufacturers and retailers) and a few car manufacturers, began a new German series of measurements, using a laser full-body scanner for the first time, which covered 13,362 people (men, women and children) between the ages of 6 and 87. The name of the project was ‘SizeGERMANY’ and the initial thesis was that the population as a whole had become taller and heavier, with the result that men in particular were finding it increasingly difficult to find clothes that fit because they were manufactured on the basis of outdated figures (similar projects had already been carried out with French, British, Dutch and Spanish people). The results were presented in mid-February 2009 and are not publicly available, but only to the clients who contributed between €5,000 and €75,000 to the costs, depending on the amount of data purchased. The measurements do not necessarily have to lead to consequences: in addition to 32, 33 and 34, one of the most popular jeans sizes (waist size in inches) is now 35, which is not even available on the market. There are significantly more people who wear size 35 than size 31, 30 or 36.“
