"Pascall Party Pack" are close to 1/2 full of Banana & Eskimo lollies now. I want a genuine mix not 1/2 a bag of the 2 worst lollies ever, my last bag had only 2 snakes in it 🤬

... and now you've got me raging in my head about the excessive quantity of s***ty Cherry Ripes and Turkish Delight in your average box of Favourites.

I love the Turkish Delights - there are never enough of them.  You could send me yours, although keep the awful cherry ripes.

Adobes email marketing not having a link to unsubcribe!

Worse still a google search took me to this page. That isn't my email address!  I potentially have the power to unsubscribe someone that isn't me! How does a company stay in business, conducting themselves like this.

Well, I wouldn't click on anything there. It looks more like phishing. Unfortunately, you can't see the sender's address in the post. Have you checked?

AA membership renewal. Click on Pay Now link in reminder mail. Manual entry of membership number after that. Paste of the full number not supported. Partial number required. Very annoying on mobile. Manual entry of last name and email address. No wonder the call centre is experiencing 'higher than usual call volume'

There's an active sub on Reddit  (that I can't link to because of the GZ profanity filter but a search for r/F***Adobe with appropriate substitutions will get you there) dedicated to the somewhat nefarious practices of Adobe when it comes to cancellations.

I switched to using GIMP and Inkscape some time ago. Adobe has jumped on the ensh_ttification bandwagon like too many others.

"I regret to say that we of the F.B.I. are powerless to act in cases of oral-genital intimacy, unless it has in some way obstructed interstate commerce." — J. Edgar Hoover

"Create a society that values material things above all else. Strip it of industry. Raise taxes for the poor and reduce them for the rich and for corporations. Prop up failed financial institutions with public money. Ask for more tax, while vastly reducing public services. Put adverts everywhere, regardless of people's ability to afford the things they advertise. Allow the cost of food and housing to eclipse people's ability to pay for them. Light blue touch paper." — Andrew Maxwell

The ‘computer says no’ attitude of customer service departments.

I wrote to one because I want to get a particular pair of (fairly expensive) sunglasses. The retailer has official stock. I gave them the specific model number I wanted.

First response: we have x model number which is not the one you asked about in stock.

Me: yes I see that  but I am trying to get you to order me a pair of y sunglasses please.

 Second response:

“We are unable to support your request as we do not hold this specific product in stock.

Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.”

Do they not understand the concept of ordering specifically or are they simply wilfully irritating?

further assistance

Wouldn't that require providing assistance in the first place?

 Yes it would.

At times like this, I am reminded of the bit in Blackadder in which Edmund is attempting to teach Baldric how to count. “If I have two beans, and I add two more beans, how many beans do I have”

”Some beans?”

Almost identical in my vain attempts to get a replacement side arm for my glasses when I busted the hinge.

Damn unhelpful AI chatbot.  basically it devolved to :

" we do not stock individual parts of frames".

Up yours, AI chatbots... grr

Perhaps it would be helpful to repeatedly respond to the bot's questions by stating that you would like to speak to a service representative? This approach was successful recently with DHL! 🤣

When you have made plans and have spent the last year going through with them just to be potentially derailed by an interesting opportunity.

It’s seriously first world problems but now I’m not sure what I want to do.

Hmmm, misleading labelling perhaps. Traditionally hot cross buns are made at Easter, so bit of a stretch to call it a traditional hot cross bun.

I don't think they ever left my local WW.  Certainly saw them on Thursday.
