Jase2985: Generally the signage states the time on them, if not time is displayed then its safe to assume its always a bus lane. Same deal with transit lanes. the number of people who dont know how they work is astonishing.

There's a bit more variation than that and it's not always easy to see the signs. If the condition was painted on the road at intervals that would be much better.

Even better would be some simple automatic visual indication.

To some extent it will be restrained a bit by the international standard. I expect there is some practical extra way to address the issue that does not conflict with the standard.

Can you provide an example, please? Use Google street view

All the ones I have seen have been clear and repetitive. The variation is the time, but that's situational dependent.

Here is what they are supposed to look like

My point is drivers can see the marking on the road for bus lane, easy. To know the restriction drivers must look for a sign post and read and interpret the restriction and time. That's not necessarily easy at speed when you're one or more lanes away from the bus lane. It's not surprising most drivers don't bother to read them and err on the side of caution.

Road markings deteriorate over time and use, signs do not.

"to know the restriction, drivers must look for a sign post and read and interpret the restriction and time."
The same can be said for markings on the road.

I have set Teams to "do not disturb". So far it has disturbed me three [edit: eight] times with a message telling me that I have DND turned on.

Yeah I think ultimately it could be the size of the sign.

Just got another unidentified caller. The number is 04-805-0642 (via Spark), and a reverse lookup on the Web implies it's from Foundation Life Insurance. Never heard of them before.

"Create a society that values material things above all else. Strip it of industry. Raise taxes for the poor and reduce them for the rich and for corporations. Prop up failed financial institutions with public money. Ask for more tax, while vastly reducing public services. Put adverts everywhere, regardless of people's ability to afford the things they advertise. Allow the cost of food and housing to eclipse people's ability to pay for them. Light blue touch paper." — Andrew Maxwell

I just had one a few minutes ago from "Hurly Consulting". Probably a scam. They didn't leave a message.

That and the fact that the small signs with tiny text are not lit in any way and are pretty much impossible to read from a moving car in dull light or at night.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

The read more button on so many news websites. The number of times I scroll past it and reverse back. It's not the most visible element.. eg;

It's so invisible that I don't see such a thing, and typing "read more" into the browser search returns "not found".

Immediately under the first twitter post in that article. Chrome Android. If you've already clicked it a page refresh will bring it back.

The read more button is there to get an interaction with the page which was explained to me is a way to get around some browser restrictions on cookies.
