What I have now ... nothing in terms of a server, but desperately need one so I can create a media server that doubles as a location to backup our computers.  We have two laptops and a desktop.

We have two small children (6 months and 3 tear old) and my wife goes crazy with the pictures and videos. Would like the peace of mind that these keepsakes are safe (via backup) and have the ability to share them with other devices in the house (media server).

I hope you like my picture ;-)

Thanks for giving us this opportunity to win!

I recently built a rig for testing and study - 6 core CPU and a lot of RAM. Problem is, if I'm testing several Exchange servers, SCCM 2012 and SCOM 2012, a DC, several SQL servers and a NetScaler VPX, she grinds to a halt. A nother box to offload to would be perfect!

Currently use an old laptop as home server. Too underpowered and lacks expandability to be really useful. This HP server looks to fit the bill nicely, to run several VMs that us geeks seem to need to run at home to continue being geeks.

Well, better late than never to enter this comp. With an HP Microserver, I too, could take off to the moon. Or something.

Currently using a AMD 1500+ home build pc running windows home server (v1) which is making lots of noise from the strain...

Really be good to get  a proper server before everything melts!

Great site guys...

Aah yes, I would so love a server - with both of my home PCs having died recently I've completely lost track of where all my pictures have gone. At least I removed the hard drives before biffing them though ;-)

Just spent some time in Christchurch cleaning up my folks red zone place. Found my original 'server' in their garage (A Panasonic cassette machine) in a liquifacted state. That plus I was dirty meant no pix, but it did remind me to come and put my hand up here for something a bit more this century.
