For sure, but that seems to help with some of the differences in appearance.  Looking at that now it may have been a different setting, something like reducing the transparency option or somesuch.  I'm used to it now, took a good few days.

Emirates have already advised that they will refund the flights for all the students and staff which is good news. The various hotels will take some time to sort out. My grandson won't get another chance as this is his last year at secondary school as he is going to University next year.

Half a smashed avocado is not quite enough on a toasted bagel but a whole one is too much.

I'm not sure how I'm going to get through the week like this!

No such thing as too much avo - pile it on.

Yes, that's all I can do. It just means that the avo to bagel ratio is slightly above optimal.

IMO any avocado is too much. Congealed green swamp water stuff.

It does seem unappealing: slimy green mush. But oh my goodness, put that on a buttered toasted bagel or Vogels, add salt and pepper and it’s just heaven.
Avocados are also very healthy nutrient rich superfood.

Netflix and closed captions.
I personally rarely use them, but Netflix insists on activating them every time a new auto-start episode begins.

It's a small thing but it's annoying.

Is the TV muted so that you are using an external sound source?

I am sure Netflix just follows your last chosen settings so if you turn it off it stays off and vice-versa? Been a while since I've used paid streaming media but I'm sure that's how most of them works?

This happens on multiple devices, so on the TV, no - not muted and on the iPad or iPhone, usually wearing AirPods, so not muted, but not using the inbuilt speakers.

At work, we seem to have an epidemic of people reopening support tickets to say "thanks" (or, even worse, to just send a thumbs-up emoji). The number of times per day that I need to go into the ticketing system and re-close these tickets...

The fact that I’ve wasted almost 10 hours on support calls trying to get my printer to print and it still won’t print.

Plus the fact that if I can’t complete the WhatsApp sessions due to having to go and deal with real life, HP closes the case and I have to start again.

Plus the fact that they can’t find the answer despite endless resets, new setups etc etc.

If I were cynical, I’d say that they just wanted me to buy a new printer.
