Going to a website run by a German company. The site itself respects the browser language and comes up in English, but the cookie begging popup is in German.

@Handle9  Great news that you are home safe with your family all together again. I bet that adventure was one you never dreamt of. Enjoy the peace.

Thanks. It's just for a week and a half, I'm back to Dubai on the 14th.

We have to pack up the house and get ready to move.

We would normally put a red ribbon on our luggage to make it easier to spot on the carousel at airports but lots of other people have started doing the same. Looks like we'll need to invest in some bright and quirky name tags.

My annoyance is I noticed the cover missing from this and Googling Viewsonics Isolator VSISEU-20B got no useful match to tell me what it is.It seems odd that it would have fallen off and blown away, but if someone deliberately removed it then why wouldn't they just drop the cover.

I remember when fibre was installed at a previous house there was only the box like the one of the left, so this second one confuses me, because it seems connected. I am optimistic that someone here can tell me. I've included a photo of where it is in relation to the Chorus box.

Edit: This house in Waikanae had fibre before we moved it. I suspect I would remember if I'd seen a Saturn label on the box.

Where, physically, are you? Could it be HFC? Granted I have no idea what the box for that looks like :)

Edit: Yeah, it looks like Viewsonics made cable TV equipment, but was bought by "Bel Fuse" a while ago. For the curious, Viewsonics predates ViewSonic by more than a decade.

Cable TV? Saturn?

Handle9: New Zealand is home of the surcharge.

Credit card surcharge, public holiday surcharge, delivery charge….

Experienced this tonight.

Sister in law is celiac so ordered some fish and chips from a store that does Gluten Free however got the rest of our Fish and Chips from our usual store a few doors down (much cheaper normally and better).

Anyway... this Fish and Chip shop is charging 3% credit / PayWave surcharge and made a little fuss when the lady said "We have a 15% Holiday surcharge - is that OK?" to which I said no, it's not and it is not fair to be treating your customers like that.

The other Fish and Chip shop we normally go to - no surcharging at all even on PayWave and cheaper / better quality.

Maybe it's time for ypur usual store to expand its range. Both our locals do GF. The one we go to does 10% Gold card discount.

Please share the name and location. Rare as hen's teeth to find a chippy doing GF (with a separate fryer).
