LurkingKiwi:

ANZ is supported for Online EFTPOS, which supposedly doesn't require giving your banking details to a 3rd (4th?) party, but works through your phone banking app.

Officially banks tell you not to use Poli.

ASB now integrates with POLi and officially supports its use (per the press release on their website).

gzt: That looks like a failed response with no error code - try again
No, it just sat like that for the longest time I've ever seen chatgpt thinking for.  It did eventually give an answer.

kingdragonfly: This article is about Wellington, and a web company that found a cash cow

I couldn’t find any publicly indexed record showing a grant awarded to “Journey Digital” by either Wellington City Council or Wellington City Libraries.

In the about page, Dane Tatana is the Chief Executive Officer (Ngāti Raukawa, Ngāti Toa Rangatira), meaning "the descendants of Raukawa and the descendants of Toa Rangatira.”

'Atrocious': Wellington's deputy mayor slams $600,000 bill for library website: RNZ

Wellington's deputy mayor has slammed the council's more than $600,000 spend on a website for the capital's new library, labelling it ''an atrocious amount of money''.

Figures seen by RNZ revealed the total cost of designing and building the website was $595,801.

There was also a $72,000 bill for a year of hosting the website and maintenance.
...
In case anyone missed the important part:

$600k on a website for a building! | Kiwiblog

That's not $600k on a website for a library, it's $600k on a website that's promoting the library

When a device becomes an industry standard, then one of the major suppliers of that device changes the design and specification, but doesn't change the part number so you don't know unless you read the updated datasheet and even then you can't be sure if you have the new one or the "legacy" device.

In this case, the device is the Ti NE5532 Op-Amp where the maximum allowed supplied voltage has changed from +/- 22 volts to +/- 18 volts, plus there are a number of other changes such as a reduced slew rate.

Edit: fixed formatting.
