gzt: PakNSave is starting a loyalty card scheme. That really annoys me. They seemed to be the last sane retailer. If I have to sign up for PakNSave then I might as well sign up for the Woolworths one I never seem to really need. I bet I will soon..

You earn nothing from the pak n save one anyway. You only earn points from Four Square or New World.

The T3 lanes on Puhinui Road. No ones seems to police their use.

They're constantly used by drivers with less than three people on board to queue jump which just totally jams up the traffic flow when the lanes merge, making the traffic flow slower than it would have been without the T3 lanes.

And the one on SH20A all the way to the airport. Why don't they police this?

AirNZ proudly posting that they are 89% on time, where 'on-time' means up to 15 minutes late.  The 🤬it does.  One minute late, is late.

AirNZ will ticket a journey with 30 minutes between arrival of a regional flight and departure of a domestic jet flight.  Arrive 15 late for that, and you're screwed.

I think you need to see the IATA On Time Performance standards that all airlines use. Blaming Air New Zealand for better OTP is a bit weird. Are you sure you just don't like the airline that you own?

In the last 2 years of travel with AirNZ I haven't been less than 15 minutes late on any flight. I've been as late as 2 hours.

Not quite as bad as Auckland Transport, where the fine print shows their "on time" key performance indicator is met if the bus starts its route within 10 minutes of the scheduled time!

I've never used points for anything. The increasing number of deals that will inevitably be locked behind the card virtually making it compulsory is the thing that will annoy me. They haven't started any of that yet.

Who has more right to be critical of the way an Airline performs/measures it's performance than someone who is a paying customer and a shareholder?

If you are a passenger, the impact to you isn't delay -+ 15 minutes, it's just the delay. I think it's fair to be a fraction miffed if the leeway doesn't exist evenly.

Again, online chatbot things that give no transcript to you.

Logged into mighty mobile to sort my problems this morning. Chatted with them, gave all the details and then had to go for lunch. Came back and page had refreshed to a brand new chat with nothing in it, so start going thru it again, guy asks to confirm the mobile I gave so gave my new ones. Closed the window in error. Logged back in and my old first chat from the morning was there and that guy had said it was solved. Logged in to both and sure enough they were fixed. Thanked that guy, but now have no idea where my second chat I started has gone.

And no communication by email or SMS or anything with a transcript of what happened. So unless I screenshot it piece by piece before I close out, it will all be gone.

How is this acceptable to not give a customer a record of what was discussed and actioned?

You obviously aren't shopping at Woolworths then. Quite a number of their "specials" now show one price for card holders and another for the rest...

The Woolworths are hardly ever busy in my area. I use it like a dairy when I need just one or two items. I estimate my weekly shop would be 10-20% more at Woolworths (compared to PakNSave) with or without the card. I actually think WW has fewer card specials than when they started the thing. Very few would impact my weekly shop anyway.

If you've been ticketed through by the airline then you're not screwed. The airline has to take responsibility and either hold the connecting flight or get you on another flight.

If you've booked the flights as two separate bookings, then Yes, you are screwed.

That's not been my experience but I realise YMMV.

Yes, several years ago when I was living in Wellington, but working in New Plymouth during the week, the final WLG to NPL flight on a Sunday evening was often held to allow passengers connecting from other flights to make it.
